Tried it with ImgBurn instead of VSO and still no luck. I looked to see if there were any firmware updates for my graphics card and blu-ray burner but everything is up to date. I made a few backups with non Cinavia movies and everything burns fine, even with ImgBurn. I have no clue what could be wrong.

it's not an Asus burner.. it's an LG GGW-H20L blu ray burner. Never had a single problem with it except for this weird Social Network cinavia issue.. however it looks to be a common issue so I'm not sure what the deal is.. it's been a struggle for awhile now and the same problem occurs with every version.

You need to post your log if you need help I have an LG GGW-H20L myself, so I could test your scenario, but still... the log is required.
It's not really a common issue, you're the first with an LG drive to have this reported, afaik.

Sorry to hijack this thread and get everyone confused. I emailed DVDFab support and was told to download version 8089. I did but have yet to create a protected disk. It will rip the movie to a temp file just fine, but when it gets to the point to insert a blank disk, it gets stuck. I put in a blank BD-R and it stays on the loading box with the message "no media detected in drive." I have tried several disks when this box is displayed but nothing but stopping it in task manager will do anything. I de fraged the hard drive last night so I'll see if that does anything. I'm thinking the ASUS SBW-06C1S-U burner cannot create protected disks. I'm trying to burn RE Afterlife one more time, then I'll swap USB ports and possibly contact ASUS.

Yea it's an optimum 25gb BD-R but my drive isn't an ASUS drive it's a LG GGW-H20L. The other thing is I don't think it has anything to do with the BD-R disc as the "process failed" error seems to come right when you put the disc in and imgburn/vso loads but before I even hear the disc spool. Just some additional info if that helps!
