Will not rip out some audio tracks

On some foreign films (US release versions), it won't remove the english track. I uncheck all but the original audio, and english subtitles. The end result always has english and the original audio.

    To list a few:
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009)
The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009)
    Mesrine - Killer Instinct (2008)
    Mesrine - Public Enemy #1 (2008)

    Any idea how to fix?

This might be a bug. You might want to supply a screen shot of the title, audio, and subtitle selections as well as the DVDFab logs (see Help Us Help You thread). Open the completed BD output in DVDFab again to get a screen shot of the audio and subtitles actually transfered.

I think this is what you needed.. I see no errors of any kind.

Reran it again and used those logs just to make sure.

            Still happening on 8.1.0.5.

Why is this being ignored? It's a bug that is making movies bigger than they need to be. I've posted logs, what else is there to do? Can I get a confirmation that this has been confirmed?

I also am having this issue with Girl with the dragon tatoo bluray. I select swedish audio and english subtitles, but the movie rips with no audio or subtitles.

Looking at the final product the movie is smaller than the size i tell it to be, by exactly the size of what the audio should be if it was added probably. In the properties it does not even see any details of the audio, so its as if dvdfab is not seeing or attempting to rip this audio at all right at the start. I dont know what the issue is with the subs.

I'm using 8.1.6.3, and there was no error in the log. Hope yall look into this issue more.

Just wanted to add, i tried ripping The girl with the dragon tatoo with xxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxxx instead since dvdfab was failing, but it seems it too has the same issue dvdfab has but I can see it before i rip. xxxxxxxxx sees and lets me customize the video settings, but for audio and subtitles for some reason it sees none on the disc that it supports. So there's probably some similar problem if that also helps.

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo still a problem

As far as I can tell the latest release 8.1.7.8 still has the same problem as the previously reported versions. Making a backup copy with Full Disc still gives me no audio or subtitles.

Which version of this movie is this (2009 or 2011) and what is the region and country of the disc release? Does your player support DTS audio playback? I can't duplicate the problem with the 2011 (Daniel Craig) version (Reg A US) and TMT5 playback.

Sorry, I thought it was clear that this is the American release version of the 2009 foreign language film "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" by Niels Arden Oplev. As Troilus98 stated on March 8th "I also am having this issue with Girl with the dragon tatoo bluray. I select swedish audio and english subtitles, but the movie rips with no audio or subtitles."

Neither full disc copy nor Blu-ray ripper gives me any audio or sub-titles.

                        Thanks,

                        - Norm

Will not copy or rip audio and subtitles

The original poster, Tyrindor had reported this back in April 0f 2011 with version 8.0.9.2; He also mentioned that these American releases of foreign language movies had this problem:
                          To list a few:
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009)
The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009)
                          Mesrine - Killer Instinct (2008)
                          Mesrine - Public Enemy #1 (2008)
Has this been acknowledged as a problem? Are the DVDFab people working on a fix? A year seems an awfully long time for a problem like this to go unaddressed?

The issue still exists. It's the 2009 foreign version. It happens with many foreign films still.

Glad I paid for this program, report an issue, QA confirms it, no fix after a year?

I've had some other issues lately and I've brought this thread up to technical support; they've asked me to create and upload an ISO file of one of the discs that has this problem which I'm in the process of doing. I'm sending "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" 2009 Blu-ray.

I suggest that any other registered users who have encountered this problem and want it fixed report it to technical support and upload them another sample of a different DVD or Blu-ray disc; As they say "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" so maybe if a few people complain and upload samples the research and development department will investigate this and fix it an upcoming release.
