    Reboots during compression

I can extract a blu-ray movie fine, but when I try to compress the iso, it gets maybe 1/4th through the process then my computer reboots. It has done this 3 times so far. I just reformatted my computer a few days ago and re-installed DVDFab, so I'm not sure what the problem would be.

Windows 7 64 bit, 8 gigs of memory, HD 5770 graphics card, 3.6 GHz Intel core 2 duo, 1 TB harddrive and on-board sound.

    Here is the log:

All of my settings are set to "Software" mode and I have nothing else touched in the settings. I use IMGTool to burn the movies after compression, though, or use to when the program didn't shut the computer down and crash. I mean I literally have no other programs on this computer minus NOD32, Microsoft Forefront Security and a few other odds 'n ends. All of which I ran before with no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your problem is common for machines with poor cooling system. Video conversion/processing is extremely power-consuming process when processor works on 99-100% load for extended period time and generates an extensive amount of heat. Poor cooling system can't provide adequate cooling to the processor and system engages self-protection mechanism and shuts off. So, check your cooling system and make sure everything is works as suppose to. BTW, stock cooling fan that comes with the processor not nearly enough to cool processor that works with 100% load for long time.
I hope this explains your problem and helps.

          Hi BoostinBen
I too believe this is temperature related.
Along with the excellent advice given by my friends, you may also try disabling Lightning-Recoding in A/V settings.

Are you compressing on the HDD? Or burner?

              Re: heat issues

I've had heat issues on two systems, but the heat issues shut the systems off rather than restarting them.
I've also had a system restart to a blue screen after trying to back up one of my DVDs, but that wasn't due to heat. I was running four 4 GB dimms and one of the dimms went bad. I pulled all the ram and tried them individually to find the bad one and now I'm just running that system 1 pair of good ones.
No more problems of any kind now.
