    Found another bug =/

Will the bugs ever end for this version?

It read through the "Salt" Blu-Ray disc, but once it is time to write to the DVD+R DL 8.5 GB then it failed. Below are the logs

    Hi, DVDFabLover

Please use a BD disc to burn BD movie in BD copy, you could use BD to DVD moudle in DVDFab if you want to burn a DVD disc for BD movie.
    Hope this help you!

Please post your logs the default location is:

    For StreamFab: C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\log
Please use attachment button and attach your most recent, Internal log and post right here.
If it's the burning issue, please also attach burn log.

      I wouldn't hold your breath.

I'm not following Wilson's advice, but in any case, the VSO error 105 indicates:
      105 HWS_TOOBIG 5 // Files are too big to fit on a DVD+/-R(W)

I note the following in your logs :

      request(8019 MB) real(8219 MB) bitrate(9142 kbps)
      181m 27.52s: compress finished: groups request(8019 MB, 8019 MB) real(8219 MB) average_bitrate(9142 kbps)

Please confirm the actual file size on your hdd (subsequent to compressing to a BD9).
It appears that the software did not compress sufficiently as 8219 MB is too large for your blank media.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The same thing was done on version 8.1.0.5 without any problem at all.

"Please use a BD disc to burn BD movie in BD copy" <== If I want to copy to a BD-R, I would use it from the start.

"you could use BD to DVD moudle in DVDFab if you want to burn a DVD disc for BD movie" <== If I want to use this, I would have not purchased "DVDFab Blu-Ray Copy" and purchased "DVDFab Blu-ray to DVD Converter" instead for cheaper price. Also, I don't want the DVD quality, I want the AVCHD quality which only the "DVDFab Blu-Ray Copy" provide, not the "DVDFab Blu-ray to DVD Converter".

              Hi, DVDFabLover

Do you also burn to DL disc when you use 8105? Because of every layer is 4.7G in DL.
Please try to use single layer disc.

                Yup, thanks.
It helps and confirms what I suspected based on your logs.
The software is failing to compress adquately to fit on a DL disc..

                If we do the math...

                8,618,901,504 bytes = 8,219 MB (or 8220 rounded up)

                same as your logs

                181m 27.52s: compress finished: groups request(8019 MB) real(8219 MB)

There are at least couple ways to tackle this.
After my jolt of AM caffeine, there maybe more...

Use an older, reliable version to compress to a DL
You need the Source files to be smaller than 8152 MB in order to
                fit on DL media.

Tinker with your Writable Media (DVD9) Size in Common Settings

I've also had to do tinker with output sizes in the past.
In my experience the BD50---> BD9 has never been completely reliable in terms of output size, although it has been more consistent than the BD ---> DVD output size
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

                    Hi Wilson,

Yes, I used "DVD+R DL 8.5 GB" for version 8.1.0.5 Qt and it works fine all the time.

Why would I want to use 4.7 GB single layer disc when the 8.5 GB DL is working fine with version 8.1.0.5? Also, using the 4.7 GB single layer will reduce quality.

                      maineman,

Are problems with version 8.1.1.2 Qt being reported to the programmer team? Do they know about this? Are they working on fixing this?

                      Thanks.

Wilson is on the DVDFab Staff, so it has been reported. Set the DVD-9 size to 8000MB in Common Settings.
