All, here is a previous thread by the OP with the same problem, ie.,
Files are too big to fit on a DVD+/-R(W).

His drive was also in PIO mode and the blank media being used was marginal to crappy.
I have no idea if the OP if followed any of the advice I had given to try and resolve these issues.

          Here's the thread:

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Really??? This forum is here so people that want to help themselves ask for help, the guys wasting time trying to help you know there stuff! Yet you will not help yourself!! You have to use a DL Blank DVD+R this means it has to be 8.4GB to work and not crappy media!!!!

It seems that there was DL media in the drive, but there is a problem with the drive firmware with those blanks or the drive is still in PIO mode and not communicating with DVDFab (VSO actually) correctly.

Yes I see, I retract part of my statement! The op must do some research and make sure the media is compatible with the drive and FW. The op should look into using ImgBurn also but I believe in some of the older posts he has stated using ImgBurn. I think it's a media imcompatabilty issue

I agree that his poor quality media has a role here and it's likely that his burner and firmware are unhappy with the mismatch and this was called to his attention.
You're correct also in that he has used Img...at least on some burns.

However, there is also the issue that Fab is not compressing the files sufficiently even to fit on DL media.

Please note this entry from yet another of the OP's thread:

Please confirm the actual file size on your hdd (subsequent to compressing to a BD9).
It appears that the software did not compress sufficiently as 8219 MB is too large for your blank media.

He was advised to modify his write size, etc., but again, no one has received useful feedback from him on any of the advice offered.

                    Dear DVDFab Staffs,

                    I followed your advices:

                    1) Reset DMA
                    2) Disable "Lightning-Recoding"
                    3) Change "DVD-9" size to "8000 MB".

The time to wait is 10+ hours and counting upward. It is just taking too long and not worth it. Is there a better way?

                    Thanks.

Given the interminable, slow speed...I suspect your drive may still be in PIO.
                      You need to verify this.
Via device manager take a look...it is not sufficient for the device to say DMA if available, it actually must be in DMA (UDMA) mode.

You can also take a look at your burn log to verify PIO/DMA status.

Have you changed media yet? attempted to update firmware?

Have you let the process complete (rip to hdd as BD9) to see if the resultant file size is less than 8152 MB so it'll fit on DL media?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Have the sys specs been brought into question? Is the 10+ hrs compess on the HDD? Is the HDD 5200 rpm or 7200? Highend video card for the compression? If the op can reshare a list of the movies he having issues with I will check if I have any one of them and try it on my system!

                              Hi DVDFabLover2011
Try turning off Lightning-Recoding in A/V settings.
I have also done conversions where the task time has reached 100%, but if I left it alone the conversion did finish.
                              Hope this helps
