Having problems backing up All Blu Rays

I am a happy registered owner of DVDFab for YEARS. Backed up 30 or more Blu-Rays with no problem months ago.

But the last dozen Blu-Rays I have tried to back up, They hang in the copy process or get soooo slow and then stop trying. No messages, no errors.

Sucker Punch movie copied fine last night. But as before, tonight Transformers slows to a trickle.

Blu-Ray ripper works everytime for iPad ripping.

What logfiles do I need to send to help me? Where are these logfiles? Please send me to a sticky if needed.

I've cleard HD space, partitioned HD, got latest 8.xxxxx version. Maybe my Gateway Windows is screwed? Or my LG super multi Blue is acting up?

    Thanks.

Make sure you have an internet connection at all times, it is required for decrypting Blu-ray. Also, you are a few versions behind, try an update to the latest. The log file needed most is dvdfab_internal.log. The location varies with your OS and setup, but you can use search in windows explorer to find the file. You can open it with Notepad and find the segments that deal with the ones where it does not complete, then copy and paste them into a post.

        30 hours @ 0.40 MB/s just to convert?

Thank you, I have followed your advice.

I have the latest DVDfab. I have updated the firmware on my LG BH10 6X. My internet connection is running 24/7.

At least is hasn't stopped trying, but after 14 hours, I am only 47% through the the recoding stage.

And I don't even care about this Transformers movie, but now I am curious and have to sit it out and see if it makes to "Insert Blank Media"

I didn't used to have this problem with Blu-Ray copy, the old DVD-copy DVDfab worked fine for me.

I guess I will send you all a logfile when this nightmare is over. Now I am wondering if I should stick to 'Copy Movie Only' instead of whole disk.

          After reading some other posts....

....Maybe I need to do some home work and find if i am in "PIO mode"? And Try that USB drive idea?

          Any Stickies to help me?

Or I can search on my own. I am curious and now want to try backing up some the the titles that I had no problems with months ago. They only took 3 hours or so to recode and 20 minutes to write. Nothing has changed on my computer since I got my original BD drive.

          Thanks buddies.

              Same thing here

Tried to record Thor tonight, had the same issue slowed down to almost a stop, sounds like a software issue

                OK, here's the logfile.

Now I don't give a hoot or holler about this movie.

But it just an example of dozens of slow downs or freezes with no error messages.

I love DVDfab, but something is different about my system....or these new movies are changing.

                Thanks for your help.

                  OH, and by the way....

I did finally get a back up copy of my movie. I burned it to disk in less than 45 minutes. It works great.

                  Thanks DVDfab.

(its just the recoding or whatever that took over 24 hours)

Well, I guess its not all that un-rosey

I am currently backing up a disk from my box set "Star Wars". So far 72% at 3.0 MB/s. I probably won't stuff in a blank BD....but it just goes to show ya. What it shows ya...I have no idea!

                      Hi Ace Ion,

Please set Software as decoder & encoder, also disable Lightning-Recoding in Common Setting.

                      Hope this help you!

                        Check your AntiVirus Software

What AntiVirus/Internet Security software are you using? I had a similar problem with DVDFab not being able to finish due to BitDefender Internet Security interfering with DVDFab's operation. Once I completely removed BitDefender, DVDFab worked with no problems....
