    Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy fails

It looks like the Region B blu-ray of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy has DVDFab beat.

blu-ray copy to BD9: stuttering jerky playback

blu-ray copy to BD25: stuttering jerky playback

blu-ray clone to BD50: the backup just displays a message saying "locked to region B...". The disc and all equipment is region B.

Tried the backups on Nero Media Player and PS3.

    Any ideas please?

Please try v8.1.6.1 Qt, just released. If you get the same symptoms, post the DVDFab internal log file session from this title.

Just tried to revert to 5.9, but I still get the error and message to check for a later version. It looks like I can't open any disc now

OK, I've tried a full disc copy to a single layer Blu-ray media using v8.1.6.1 Qt. The copy is completely unwatchable. It pauses for a few frames every second - it seems to be very regular. (There are three trailers on the full-disc copy. Two of them have the same fault - one trailer plays OK.) By the way, I had another disc fail with the same fault recently - it was Trust.

Here is the log from the session:

Disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding in common settings/ General / A/V codec and try it again. Thanks

                Hi phils
Along with terry5's advice please do not compress from your drive.
First save it to your HDD as BD50 "Full Disc" or "Main Movie" without compression.
Then open the hard drive folder and select "Full Disc" or "Main Movie" BD25 to compress to another folder on your hard drive.
Use the "Write Data" mode of Fab to open this COMPRESSED folder and burn to a disk.
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

                  Thanks guys, but no luck.

I checked the box to disbale the GPU codesc and restarted. I ripped the main movie to disc - about 32Gb. Then I opened it and compressed to to BD25, but saved it to disc rather than waste a BD. When I played the M2TS file it stuttered/paused in just the same way as the previous discs did.
