The problem with the Trust disc completely failing that I reported earlier appears to have been caused by a strange read error. The disc looked clean, but a careful (wet) clean produced a successful BD25 clone (it is a single layer disc). However a BD9 main movie copy from the same disc plays back jerkily and is unwatchable. The log shows the same sort of "error" messages as the Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy log I posted earlier.

It looks liker the premature termination may have been caused by a read error, but although I have completed a main movie backup now it is unwatchable. I have posted the log in a separate thread.

We don't need two such similar threads about what may be the same problem, they will be merged. Are these PAL (25fps) discs?

Yes - these are PAL discs - UK discs anyway.

Sorry - I meant to add that I have checked through the forum and upon advice here I checked the Lightnin Encing was unchecked - it was already unchecked.

I think this jerky problem is the same as the jerky problem in my other thread, which still occurs in the latest version, so you may wish to merge my thread
v8.1.6.0 Qt Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy fails as well.

Thanks, there have been other posts about similar problems with UK/Europe versions. Gathering info for the developers. Will leave the other thread for now based on the squeaky wheel principle.
