    movies are skippy/jumpy/sticky

Can anyone please help? Lately I've noticed that pretty much ANY movie I back up turns out with discrepencies. I'm backing up brand new discs with no blemishes but my copies come out all skippy, jumpy and get stuck periodically before continuing playback. Also I've noticed the audio tracks are considerably out of sync. Another user told me I should slow down my burn speed and I've done that, but it's not improving the issues. So I'm just throwing away burned discs which cost me money. Why are my copies doing this and how can I rectify the issue?

Please post the DVDFab internal log file from one of these movies that show the problem. Also the burn log from the same disc would be useful.

Try writing to a folder on your hard drive before burning one and see if the playback is different.

Nope, too late. Threw away the movie and tried it again. Slowed my burn speed even more. Still same result. Logs are WAY TOO BIG for me to post. This happens on regular dvd fab also (not just blu ray copy). Getting REALLY annoying too. Just keep on burning drink coasters now!

No logs, no help. Do not double post.

              Hi soberjohn23
I have edited 2 of your post, watch what you say on this forum, this will be your only warning, and do not open another thread with this problem.

You do not need to post the entire log, only the most recent Internal and burn log.

Copy and paste it in notepad and attach it to your next post.
              CBR929

You will need to post a burn log where an actual burn was done, the log will be a little longer than the one you posted.

The only thing I can think of is the brand of discs you're using could be the issue. I don't know if it's the same media you've used on movies that don't have this issue. I know some blank BD-R LTH discs do not play nice with certain blu-ray players not initially designed for them. This could also mean your player may have a firmware update, so check the manufacturer's website.

One thing I would suggest ,as Signals did, is to make an ISO copy to the hard drive first and mount it with DVDfab Virtual drive and watch it on your PC with Power DVD if you own it or VLC Media player if you don't, as it's free, to see if it plays OK before burning. It will help you to determine if the problem is with the copy process or the buring process. I always do this to save on BD-R's. You might also invest in a BD-RE so you can test burn before using a BD-R.
