    Constant Blu ray read issue

Hi Guys, I have tried tech support with no luck. Hope someone can help me.
Basically, 80% of my Blu rays are starting the read process and then part way through, slowing down until it stops reading. When I cancel out, it says there were hundreds of unreadable sectors.
All standard discs are fine, only Blu rays. Im running both V8 and V9, latest versions. Windows 7 opereating system. Happend on old computer and now my brand new one.
    Please help>

Sounds like dirt on the blu-ray lens clean it with a cleaning disk and make sure your disks are clean with no finger prints. Also post your fab logs.

Reading problems are normally from dirt on the lens, dirty or scratched disks or a bad drive. You say it happened on 2 different computers do you mean with 2 different drives or the same drive?

Another thing to check is your drives firmware make sure your using the latest firmware for your drive.

Thanks for the hint. I have a brand new computer with 2 x drives. Problem happens on both drives, 1 is new hardware, the other is from my previous computer. This issue stersted approx 5 versions ago. Discs are always cleaned prior to coying. Read process starts fine but stops part way through. Log says unreadable sectors. By the time I have cancelled the process there are hundreds of sectors unread.

If you post your fab log files we can see a lot more of whats going on.Post the internal log in the fab program files. The drive you have in the jpeg bd-rebh10ls30 has two updates to its firmware latest being 5-11-12.

The latest version is 1.01-AO maybe your using old firmware and that's given the problem but that's a wild guess when you post your fab log files the drives firmware number is their so i can see if this is the problem. Here is your drives newest firmware to download to the above drive. Do not do this till we find out what firmware your using now.Just checked improvements for this update they say - BD-R Prodisc 6x support not really a big update the 1.0 update had a lot more in it.

The second drive is it also the same or is it different? you will need to post logs for failed attempts for both drives if their different so we can check the other drives firmware and for other things.

          Having Same exact problem

I thought it might be my older BD drive so I bought a new LG BH16 and am still having the same issues. It starts reading great then slows down to zero. It started a while back periodically and now seems to happen on every disc. I can play the movies on the drive and watch with no problem. Only DVD Fab seems to be having an issue.

Check to make sure PathPlayer is set to always enable.
How to post the internal log

He doesn't have problems with regular dvd's as he states in post #1 only blu rays.

I would download older versions of fab that worked and see if that's it.Also could be a windows driver that's corrupted or even that security program that doesn't work with Fab such as bit defender if you have this program it has to be taken off the drive completely to work.If all else fails go back in time with windows system restore to restore the machine to a time when everything was working then up date all files on the machine and watch each update to see if fab still works.

I would think this is not a DVDFab issue, or the forum would be full of it. Possibly software conflict or I/O issue on the machine. Hard to say without a log.
