    Question on compressing movie only

Question on compressing movie only, I have experienced on several backups that the movie will not fit on a 25 GB disc, the latest movie backup is Life of pie after backing up movie only to a 25 G, the actual size comes out to 22.6 which will not fit on a 25 g disc, is the correct fix for this is changing the write option
Writable media from 23,000 to 22.500?

    Was that Apple or Cherry?

I backed up Life of Pi without issue, are you using the latest version of Fab?

The first thing I would do is disable all GPU acceleration, You don't have enough graphics card to make that a viable option, and try again.

                I am using what you
                Recommended:

                Windows 7 (64-bit)
                Core 2 Quad and above
                8 GB of RAM
                NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
                Internet Connection
This issue has maybe showed it self 7 times out of maybe 300 backups
what graphic card would you Recommend?
how do I disable all GPU acceleration?
                thanks for your help

I'm not an authority on CUDA, but from what I've read a GTX 570 would be the low end of seeing any real gain. Your card has 192 CUDA cores and the 570 has 480 cores. The more cores the better.

The log states GTX460 and the last post states GTX260 neither one will really help.

I gave you bad info I am using the GTX460 with 336 GUDA cores, would you still recommend to disable all GPU acceleration for all back ups or just the ones that end up with a file size of 22.6?

The speed improvement with CUDA also depends on your CPU and motherboard chipset and bus speeds. I think I would try it and see, you may see some improvement unless you have an i7 and lots of ram. I don't use CUDA very much anymore, but I never used it for decoding, only for encode; one of the developers told me that the quality was better with Software settings in their testing, so the decision becomes subjective.
