Try the new beta release (v6.1.0.0), worked fine for me in XP SP3.

Signals can you post what kind of Blu Ray drives you have? Thanks.

Sure. I have an LG BE06LU10 (external USB). It is also an excellent standard DVD reader for use as a Source drive in DVD to DVD mode. I think this model or one similar is still available.

            aco,
I was wondering, have you backed up standard DVD's with success ?

I haven't backed up any DVDs yet. So far it's just been blu-rays. Most are successful but then there are some movies it just crashes for, like No Country for Old Men, Fast and Furious.

              UPDATE:

Also, I made a post in another topic area, if anyone can help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it.

OK, I didn't know you had success with ripping other BD movies, and it was just these 2 paticulare movies causing you concern.
FYI- For future reference, when a movie is giving you a fit, you should forward the log to fengtao, and to do that leave disc in drive, open common setting, at the top of the page under info, there's a tab to " Send info Files " send the files, so he can analyze it, to see if it is an encryption issue or just a bad press of that BD disc.

I had this exact same problem with my Clerks 2 BR. Before DVDFab was finished reading the disc the program would crash. I had problems reading it with other rippers as well. What finally got it to work for me was to check the "Do Not Display This Again" box when the window asking me to identify the disc's region coding came up. I have no idea WHY it worked, only that it did. Try that or just disabling the region coding neutralizer in options.
                  OS: Vista-64
                  DVDFab Version: 6.0.7.0

Only just tried all you recommendations and still same problem. Now using ISO file as disc was borrowed. DVD Fab just shuts down as soon as I press start

Then what you are doing is illegal. DVDFAB is not for stealling material.
If you fail to plan...you plan to fail wouldn't you not agree..Think about it

I am getting crash problems with crashing on Win 7 Pro as well. I am trying to output to a folder from a rip to hard drive I have made from a Blu-ray.

I have the same BD-RE Drive on my new Dell XPS 430. I downloaded the new driver from the Dell Support site (C104), downloaded ImgBurn, and downloaded the DVDfab beta. I wasn't able to back up BD's until I did all three. Although, I'm still running Vista 64 bit as of now.

Did this finally resolve the issue? As I am having the same problem.
