Software will not connect to the internet??

After updating to the latest version 9.1.1.1 the software will not register. It keeps telling me to set my proxy settings (I have a direct connection) and then says it cannot connect to the server to verify my license. I had no problems with the previous version, and nothing is different on my PC or my data connection. I do have Norton installed, but it has never interfered with DVDFab before. At this point, the software can't be registered and is basically useless. Any help would be great.

    Thanks

There are at least two possibilities:

    1) An update to Windows or Norton is blocking DVDFab. Make sure you are set for "direct connection to the internet" in DVDFab Settings and possibly try disabling Norton briefly to see if it helps.

    2) Something has happened to you Member Center account. Go to the DVDFab website and see if you can log in to it there: If you can, try re-registering DVDFab.

If you did not purchase from the DVDFab website or have installed it on too many PCs, your key may be blacklisted.

thanks signals. I can log into my account on the dvdfab.com website just fine and all looks good and valid.

I thought about a Windows 8 update, but then thought I would see more instances like mine.

When the software fails to connect and register it asks me to check my proxy. When I click into that I make sure that the Direct Connection is checked.

Disabled Norton and still nothing......AAAAhhhhhh, this is frustrating

Norton 360 works fine with Fab if you have this look elsewhere.

And just like that, it is fixed. I did nothing, changed nothing, yet all seems to be working. Really weird. The Ghost in The Machine works in mysterious ways.

Thank you to those whom offered their help. It was much appreciated

You must be connected to the internet so your internet server went down for a few mins. sometimes for maintenance or could be Fabs server went down for a while but that's not that likely anymore and their would be more people saying the program doesn't work.If a car hit a telephone pole your internet could have gone out till they fixed it.

upgraded to latest version and the software can no longer connect to the internet....again. This is frustrating. Software is dead in the water again. Haven't been able to use it for 2 days again.

It might be sage to hold off a while before upgrading to the latest version. Let them get all the kinks out of it and then dive in.
