Movie Menus included?

I've continued to do a lot of reading on here about this version.

Question? Can you copy just the movie from blu ray PLUS the menu screen?

And be functional?

No, and even if you could why would you need a menu if the only thing that worked is play main movie.You can copy the whole disk menu and all (full disk) and reduce its size so you can put it on a smaller disk.

Are the commands to set the default subtitle stream (e.g. for automatic forced subtitle playback) contained in the blu ray menu / BDJO?

If so, having the menus/BDJO included on a main movie rip should allow players (assuming they can play the menus) to set the correct default subtitle stream.

Or is that not where the default subtitle info is stored on a blu ray? I'm just starting to dig into the blu ray specs but so far google has revealed very little on where default subtitle settings are stored!

DVDFab re-writes them for Main Movie, depending on the user selection for default play.
