Still waiting for the disc, mine did not arrive as promised. Hopefully tomorrow. The log does not look right. Possibly drive(s) having trouble with the blank media, but could be a problems with DVDFab's output. Try writing to a hard drive instead of a blank disc and play the folder with a software player on your PC and see if it works correctly.

Thor: Dark World problems

Thanks for the reply, I am having problems wether I'm the using DFAB or ImgBurn and I'm using OPTICAL QUANTUM disc's. If these are a problem then for the most part why have they worked OK and I have used them before, so I may have just gotten a bad batch??? and I should just stick with a "named brand"??? What software player should I use? after the download to HD, when I play thru DVDFAB, it shows just fine. Is there a link that I can use for a player?? And why is it that I have changed the speed down to 2X when using ImgBurn but when it is processing the IMBURN log always shows that it is writing at MAX SPEED (12X)??? any solutions, Sorry for the questions within a question.

drkbrn23: Although your log doesn't look right to me and I haven't got my Thor disk yet I can tell you the error you get is caused by your drive not liking your disks.

Many disk company's are sourcing out their names to cheaper brands like Ritec that cause problems all the time.In your case the disk id is unknown saying the disks are not even id' by img burn so they are made by a unknown company to imgburn.

They may have the OQ.name on them but their not the same disks their made by some other company.You can confirm this by using a older disk with the same name brand and putting it into img burn it will id the manufacture on the right side of the imgburn info. screen after loading the disk

Try a better brand of disks and see if the problem go's away.
So you don't waste any more disks make sure the video plays on any software player on the computer first their are many free ones on the net VLC player is a good one this way you will know if Fab was able to make a playable disk.

Another thing you can try with img burn is to set the laser's burning power to your disk that's loaded in the burner.Though img burn can't id your disk it may not work but it's best to use this imgburn setting anyway (OPC before burn) so set it as my screen img says.This will do a test burn on the disk in a unused area of the disk to set your laser power to the disk in the burner.

Also check your burner speeds with img burn and use the slowest speed that img burn says you can burn them at.With these .img burn log should tell you the speeds with each disk that you can burn at.Because imgburn can't id this disk it also may not work.best bet is to get good disks when I was burning disks I used Digistor disks that id as TDK and had no trouble ever with 25 and 50 gig disks.Other people will recommend more expensive disks.Your setting of imgburn speed has been answered in another topic already by CBR929 read his post here http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=24605
If you can't set the speed for this disk it's because img burn can't id it.

Maybe off topic, however, I'm curious - does the Forum Administrator prefer Log files cut/paste or as text attachments for topic help?

Attachments, grampaw. It is a little more trouble but easier to get into the hands of the developers if necessary.

FYI .....back-up on my AIOS media player has the same error message so it appears to be a new protection glip...

I finally got the disc and made a test copy of the Main Movie with v9.1.2.8, it opened and copied normally for me, I have not watched the entire movie yet however. This is the Reg A/USA version of the disc, there may be others.
