will not reduce to b25 size

Never had any trouble before with making full disks to b25, but with the latest version I am getting files that are just sightly larger than 23 to 24 gig. I have done this for years but until recently have not gotten the right reduction. I am having to go through the entire process to reduce to b25 using the file from the first reduction to get it small enough to burn, usually something like a 96%. Have reinstalled several times after using cc cleaner and still no answer to problem. I have looked on forum but no one else seems to be having this problem. I tried using the file in just image burn but it also says that it is to big to burn so I figure it must be in the software. Any ideas you guys have always got the right answers and I really appreciate you forum although this is the first time I've need to use it. Thanks in advance.

If it is missing a little bit on the high side on compression you can go into common settings and cut it back a bit, maybe 22500 or even 22000.

I am having the same issue.... except worse. I tried shrinking a 39.9gb blu-ray from disk (where I ripped the original to) to an ISO. My output setting was to BD25. The ratio was shown to be 56% (39.955 GB -> 22.461 GB)

It shrunk to 47gb. Yeah, that's right, it increased in size! Never had that issue until this version (9.1.4.6).

That's new! I'll try one and report back.

I just ripped Frozen to a 25GB iso and it came out right. Did you make an iso or to a folder in disc structure?

I made an ISO.. but in the process of trying a copy to disk structure. I am also trying 8.2.3.0 on another machine.

Same issue copying to disk structure. The 8.2.3.0 test is being run on a low-end machine.. so will take some time.

This issue is with Game of Thrones Season 3 Disc 5. I successfully shrunk GOT S3D4 to 25gb a few days ago with 9.1.4.6. Not sure why Disc 5 is giving me issues.

Disc structure folder worked ok too?

Ok, so I think I see what may be the problem. The Stream folder in the source contains 455 files, most of which are very small. They get copied to the destination folder with a much bigger size.... all the SAME size.

These files in the source seem to be 00:00 in length, and are blank if I play them. They are not getting processed by fab. I think fab sees them as blank, and just creates a blank m2ts file.. but 67,104,768 bytes (~64MB) in size.

The larger files in the source, which are actual video files. are getting compressed as normal by fab. But it's all these small files turning into 64MB files that are causing the problem.

Here is a partial comparative listing:

Sorry i wasn't able to reply sooner had to work late and could not try to reduce common settings. Am going to try tonight. I have never had to change the setting before. never had the oversize problem spydor has. This has only happened in the last two updates for me.Thanks for the help and quick reply.

                      Old Fab Chinese proverb:

It's always best to post your dvdfab internal log file for the disk you are having trouble with this goes for any problem you have with Fab.If a burn issue then also post your burn log file.Changing Fab settings for a oversize problem may get it to work but the problem with the Fab program doesn't get fixed this way so post your log files for the oversize problem.

                          SPYDOR:
CUDA GPU acceleration for Lightning-Shrink enabled.
Go into Fab settings and check use all software and try again.
If you connect monitor to mother board you should be able to use quick sync
should be faster than the card with cuda.Fab doesn't support the later versions of cuda at this time.

I turned off ALL GPU acceleration, as well as Lightning-Shrink. I did leave Lightning-Recording on by mistake though.
                              Got the same result.

I then plugged a monitor in to the on-board D-SUB, and got Intel Quick-Sync enabled (way faster than CUDA). I had both Lightning-Shrink and Lightning-Recording disabled.
                              Got the same result.

                              Attached are both logs.

BTW, my 8.2.3.0 test worked fine.
