I would like to start buying my movies on Blu-Ray and want to back them up. What is a good price for blank Blu-Ray Disc? Can you also tell me where to get them at that price?

50GB Double Layer (BD-R DL)

For double layer 50GB discs, you can find the Optical Quantum OQBDRDL06LT-10 6X 50 GB BD-R DL Blu-Ray Double Layer Recordable Logo Top 10-Disc Spindle for $26.95 right now on Amazon (the Media ID is CMCMAG-DI6-00. For the importance of media IDs, look here: ). That's $2.70 a disc which is the lowest I've seen since I once thought $4 was a deal for these 50GB discs. I have used these repeatedly with excellent results. However, I haven't had a failed burn in over 6 years if that means anything.




25GB Single Layer (BD-R)

And if you're looking for single layer 25GB discs, Amazon sells the Optical Quantum OQBDR04LT-50 4X 25 GB BD-R Single Layer Blu-Ray Recordable Logo Top 50-Disc Spindle for $24.95 (the Media ID is PHILIP-R04-000). That's around $0.50 a disc (as cheap as DVD media) and I've used this successfully with my LG Blu-ray burners for years.
