I am getting error that the program has to see the internet to open blue ray.
I don't know what I am missing.
it sees internet ok when I tell it to check update
but not when I try copy I have turned off firewall to no effect.

what am I overlooking?

It is attempting to connect to obtain decryption information. It will not work (for Blu-ray) without the connection. Please check how you have the internet connection set up in DVDFab Common Settings. See if you see block events in the log of your firewall or internet security software. The program updates are on a different server. I have never seen the error shown in your log:

Thank you.
It was in the network settings in DvdFab. Somehow the network was set to manual proxy instead of direct connect to internet.
Changing radio button to direct connect "fixed" the issue and now will backup.
Thanks for the help, I was pretty sure pilot error on my part.
