Can I compress to BD25 for removing Cinavia?

If I have a BD50 move, can I compress to bd25 and also remove Cinavia protection?

I tried it my Zero Dark Thirty and I cannot play the disk on my Bluray player. Not sure if it is because it burned at 12x instead of 2x in imageburn.

    Thanks

If the original has Cinavia there is no way to burn it to a disc and be rid of it.

What about the clone disc function?

again no because cinavia protection is embedded into the audio. best way is to
use a media player for playback.

Probably. Few drives and media support speeds like that for BD-R.

Ok, thanks. Trying to avoid buying a media player, if possible.

Has anyone tried an external USB Blu-Ray burner/reader drive plugged into a cinavia-enabled BLu-Ray player? Wonder if that would work?

Doubt that would work beyond playing one file at a time. What you can do is buy a 1TB external HDD for about $50US and make an MKV passthrough or an M2TS passthrough and play them through that USB port without Cinavia at full quality.

Thanks! What do you mean by "passthrough"?

It's a profile in ripper that passes the audio and video through to the container unchanged. Do you have DVD Ripper module?

Ah. Gotcha. No, I only have the trial version of that.

Maybe some kind of media player is the way to go. Dunno.
