Region B issue

Hi Folks

the problem i have been getting for some time is on many versions of dvdfab.

what is happening is sometimes i put a blu ray in to rip to iso and dvdfab will rarely pop up a region select request box, i select region B which is the middle option as the disc is region b, i'll compress and burn but when i place this in my blu ray player it says that the this disc will only play back in region B players. this happens on both my panny blu ray players.

now to i found a way to get over this which was to rip to iso with a competitors image software and them compress and burn with dvdfab and has worked fine up until now where as i am now still getting the message on my blu ray player.


can anyone offer any help please as to why this is happening.

When you select region B and tick the box...do you confirm by clicking OK at the bottom of screen? If you have this setting should stay there all the time.No need to do it again and again.I am region B never ticked the box "again" since years.

In addition to the tip from BERT, try taking one of the discs to a store that sells other brands of players and see if they will allow you to test playback on one of them. May be the Panny firmware. Also, make sure the drive in your PC is set to Region B, sometimes new ones are not set at all.
