Newb .. Can't save ISO to HD

The only option I get to save ISO is to BD. I tried all sorts of ways to point to the hard drive and ends up as movie folder, not as ISO. I prefer to NAS drive, won't have to copy TBs from desktop.

\\qnap1\Multimedia\ISO\Interstellar.iso wants to go to a burner

    Reserved DHCP
    Wired
    Boxes on same managed switch

The product description says you can do it.

" Backup Blu-ray to hard drive. Want to burn Blu-ray, but no target disc at hand? No matter, you can backup your Blu-ray to your hard drive as Blu-ray folder or ISO image file for later burning."

    Don't tell me I wasted $150 ....

Been doing exactly that many times and it always wanted to burn a disc. When none was available it would fail. Now it's working right for some reason, oh well ........ at least now it's working. Now to see if I can load up all 5 drives and see if it will do them unattended .....

I use ImgBurn, select the iso icon and make sure the "save to" is an HDD location. Works fine here.

i would try a clean uninstall of dvdfab - restart computer - re download
a fresh copy of the latest version of dvdfab ( 9.2.1.5 or 9.2.1.6 beta)
and see if the save ISO to HD still fails.

Try setting the DVDFab burn engine to Internal in Common Settings.

I'll try that in a few hours. Just started something I don't want to disturb

There's no "internal" setting, but changing it to "DVDFab Burning Engine" did the trick. Thanks for pointing me there.
