New feature! UPDATED with guide and links

This release (v9.2.1.6 Beta) has a cool new feature that will make copying Blu-rays a pleasure, it's called DVDFab Meta Collection and will build a database with every content detail for BD titles. Here is a quick guide that the DVDFab Staff prepared for the feature. It contains a link to a PDF of the full user's manual (with screen captures) that you can download. For a preview of what it will look like when you load a BD that is in the database already, see the capture attached to this post.

Hello DVDFabbers: Please Join Us Beta Testing the Brand New Meta Collection Feature

To help improve the analysis accuracy of DVDFab, we decided to set up a Blu-ray information database on DVDFab server for all the users to share their Blu-ray disc information with the entire DVDFab community, so that they can all take the advantage when making future Blu-ray backups. And to put this into practice, we created a brand new feature in DVDFab Blu-ray related products called Meta Collection, which features the function to gather Blu-ray disc metadata information from users when they make Blu-ray backups.

    What’s Meta Collection?

Before jumping into the Meta Collection, it is necessary to know what the metadata of a Blu-ray disc really refers to. The meta information, or metadata, of a Blu-ray movie disc includes all the basic information about the disc, such as Titles, Front Cover, Description (Synopsis), Studio, Release Year, Running Time/Duration, Genre(s), Director, Actors, Parental Rating, etc.

The Meta Collection is a brand new feature we created in DVDFab Blu-ray products to scrap such information, and then to further analyze the content in each title to tell apart the useful content from the useless content. Users participating in the Meta Collection are encouraged to upload the complete Meta Info of their Blu-ray discs to DVDFab server so that other users from the entire DVDFab community can access. By doing all of these, the analyzing accuracy of DVDFab Blu-ray products is significantly enhanced and thus, the Blu-ray backup experience is also much improved for everyone.

    How to Contribute?

There are two ways to become a beta tester of the Meta Collection feature, but first and foremost, make sure you are a registered DVDFab user with an unexpired license for the Blu-ray Copy module.

Method 1: Launch DVDFab and navigate to the Copy module > Switch into Main Movie or Customize mode by the copy mode switcher > Throw a Blu-ray disc into the tray for it to access > Click the “Edit” button next to the “Disc Type” selection box > Read through and agree to the User Agreement and click Next > Set up a unique user name to activate the Meta Collection feature.

Method 2: Visit DVDFab official website > Navigate to Members > FC Member > Set up your account with a unique user name to activate the Meta Collection feature.

How to Use the Meta Collection Feature?

We’ve prepared a detailed user manual with screen captures in a PDF document, which you can download : http://download.dvdfab.cn/manual/metainfo/a-user-guide-of-metainfo-collection.zip
