Blu-Ray Copy failing to process: stuck on endless Read on disc

    Hey guys.

DVDFab Blu-ray Copy stuck in reading mode and continuously adding time onto session without progressing. All of the discs are clean and virtually scratch-free. It's only occurring on some Blu-ray discs, not all. Some Blu-ray discs will get to 60% complete, some will only get to 2% complete.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks!

We need to see the log session from one of these discs. Instructions for supplying it are linked in my sig, below.

Not sure this is exactly the same problem, but I have a disc (no scratches) that gets stuck at 0%
I deleted all logs and attempted ... attached files.

I too noticed this problem occurring with the v10.0.51 update. The v10.0.48 update seemed to work fine.

Also seems to only be occurring with some burners, not all. For example, it happens with my Pioneer burner, but not my Lite-On.

It also appears to only be happening with some discs, not all.

I encountered the problem when making backup copies of my Blu-Rays of The Strain - Season 2 discs.

Verified the discs appear to be pristine. No marks, scratches, fingerprints, etc.

Disc 1 worked fine using v10.0.48, then I had updated to v10.0.51 and went to do Disc 2 and Disc 3 and ran into the read hang problem. Tried re-reading Disc 1 with the Pioneer and it now had the problem too when using v10.0.51.

Put the same discs in my Lite-On and was able to read through them fine. But in my Pioneer, they would hand part way through the read process.

Mine seemed to hang anywhere between 40% and 70% of the disc.

I tried a couple of my other movies that I had backed up previously in the Pioneer and it read through them no problem.

So... it does not appear to be a problem with the burner reading discs and its not all discs.

          Oh! Thanks for that tip.
I downgraded to 10.0.4.8, and now it works!

It was stuck for about 3 minutes at the same place 10.0.5.1 was stuck (10.0.5.1 showed 0% in the main window, 10.0.4.8 shows Processing)

I left 10.0.5.1 trying for a few hours, so I don't think it would eventually recover.
