Detecting Writable Media on Drive E:

Hi! I just upgraded yesterday to a Blu Ray drive, LG WH16NS40 Super Multi Blue Internal SATA 16x Blu-ray Disc Rewriter. Everything seems to have gone well but every time I try to burn to it I get the message above and it just sits there! If I burn to my hard drive and then try to burn to my disc (Verbatim BD-R 180 25GB) sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Do I need to change some parameters?

Happens on backing up any movie, btw.

Thanks in advance for any help.

What burning engine do you use ??
try using imgburn. Also you might try
    checking for a firmware update.

OK, I tried but I'm not sure if it ever made one since it just sits there until I cancel.

          Here you go! Thanks!

                Mona,

It seems to have worked perfectly with Imgburn.

I have no idea what the problem was, but thank you everyone for the help!

                  Hi Ray,

Thank you for the update. We cannot tell what the problem was for now, as the previous log file you attached indicated a successful burn. Anyway, if you encounter the same problem in the future, please post the latest dvdfab_internal.log file and burn log file again.

                  Regards,
                  Mona
