Extremely Slow Copying In Main Movie Mode

Hi, I have encountered very slow i/o operation (0,68 mb/s)with any bd I try to copy. My burning device is LG BH10LS30, my o/s is Windows 7. I have thought about DMA problems so I've tried to refresh the DMA-Access with in DVDFAb but it didn't change anything. How will I get acceptable performance?

    Please post internal log, thanks.
DVDFab is the all-in-one software package for copying Blu-ray/DVD and converting video file.

My question is this to you how long have you had the drive? have you tried cleaning the lens? Also are these your first burns or have you burned with this burner and all of a sudden your having issues? I/O issues I have read are caused by a dirty lens, bad media, the burner might be bad, or in some rare cases you have software conflicts. Like I said all read and some learned on here due to my external blu-ray burner.

one more thing are you running all S-ATA drives or are you using IDE's along with S-ATA? I heard this can cause issues. Look it up on google.

I would like to know more also due to I was thinking of getting this burner for my desktop.

I have this burner(new) and am getting about 45mbp. This isn't the softwares fault though. I have an older slower computer that didn't have SATA so I had to get an adapter to connect sata to ide. Also my processor is just a p4 2.8hz. Just hooked it up today and trying it for the first time. Going really slow but frankly I surprised its working at all with the way I had to hook it up. Trying to compress my copy of Casino Royale to BD9. If it works I'll buy the software. If not I'll just have to save up for a better computer.

I have to say one thing I havent done the compress to BD9 or BD5 yet. I may in the future or hope where the program can convert it to play ina standard DVD player. But as I know from using this program to copy onto Blu-rays its the best around. I tell everyone about it. I also have DVD to DVD and that works great also. Its worh the money. On Facebook I'm known to one of the advertising guys as the superfan. I have DVDfab tshirts I made (thanks to their artwork dept) and I have there logo with added Blu-ray To Blu-ray fan for an avatar there. OK sorry no more OT.

I think if you plan on working with Blu-ray, you will have to accept the slow times on a single core CPU. You should probably consider a more up-to-date platform, and a video card with CUDA support for improved performance.

Oh, yeah. I'm ok with slow times for now. I have a laptop that I can use for other things while it's working and I'll just start it before I go to bed. I'll upgrade at some point though.

It wouldnt cost much to upgrade if you pm me I could let you know some deals at a place. My laptop takes 2 hrs at most to decode and burn to a blu-ray I wouldnt know with my desktop since it hasnt done blu-ray authoring or backing up yet. Like I said I want an internal burner.

                      Hi
I just backed up Avatar using Version 7.0.4.5, the total time to run the main movie to a BD-RE disc was 4 hours, BD-REs will only burn at 2x so it took a little longer. Backing up on a stock PC will be slow, here is the system I'm using...

I am also having the same problem and I also have a LG burner and my problem started when I installed it. I have tried to set the DMA and it didn't help. Does anybody know how I can get it to burn faster than 0.01 mbs. Thankyou

What would be the name brand of the video card you have installed? Try to set DVDFab to use software only and to do that you need to go to common settings of DVDFab and then go to A/V Codec. Common settings is the green dot with the checkmark in it. But before you do that let us know the info about the video card installed

andreas10005. Make sure it's not re-encoding to fit Main Movie to BD-25 instead of a straight copy. That looks more like compression speed than a copy speed. At least with a Core 2 Duo as that's around what I got without CUDA on a E7500 on Win 7 on stock frequency. Just bumped up to a Q9300 and get 2x that on my slow Vista 32-bit main rig that was getting a .40MB-.60MB average for compression. Now I'm getting a 1.5-2.0MB average software only.

Although this is long shot I have under Windows 7 had to reset my DMA when backing up a few DVD's when the copy rate was under.50MB. Using the Reset DMA button and restarting the computer fixed it up but I yet to have this happen in Win XP or Vista.

To be honest I think I'm going to stick with Vista or XP for now because I don't have any of the problems I get in Win 7 on those OS's
