Questions about DVDFab BD to BD

    Dear Friends

I see that DVDFab can create Movie Only from my Blu-Ray collection.
I would like to try DVDFab 7.0.9.3 Blu-Ray to Blu-Ray, but I have got questions:

    1. After creating 1:1 BDMV Folder Structure I play my movie on Dune HD Base 3.0 from my HDD internal or external. Are there any information and known bugs related with DVDFab 1:1 BDMV Folder Structure copies played on Dune HD Base 3.0? Any problems?

    2. Movie Only, is it really works with DVDFab? I would like to create Movie Only copies, but not from my Blu-Ray discs, but from my existing collection as 1:1 BDMV Folder Structure. Will DVDFab BD to BD create Movie Only copy from BDMV Folder Structure instead Blu-Ray disc? Will it be faster from BDMV Folder Structure then Blu-Ray disc?

    3. Are there any known bugs related with creating Movie Only copies by DVDFab? No freezes during playing, no pixelation on place where changing layer appears, no other problems? I will play it on Dune HD Base 3.0.

I ask, because I would like to buy DVDFab Blu-Ray to Blu-Ray and I need honest opinion (not only empty words), is it worth to buy or is it has many bugs and more then few Blu-Rays cannot be created as Movie Only without problems?

I have once installed DVDFab trial version, but when I start to create copy of my disc, I have an popup with error message and then DVDFab closed. I use Windows 7 64bit.

I will be glad for replies.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards.

    Sincerely
    VAMET

Please tell us less about the competing software you are using, it is not relevant to any problems you may be having with the trial. Please read the General Policies sticky before posting again. I will try to answer some of your questions after I finish editing your first post.

To answer your questions, of course DVDFab will do what it says it will do. Whether it will work with a library of content created with other software depends on the other software, please install the latest beta version of DVDFab and use the trial period to find out. If you can not make the trial work, please start a thread in the General Questions posting any error codes or other information. You may have to deactivate other ripping/decrypting software and in some cases remove the filter/drivers it may have placed in your registry.

Creating Main Movie from existing folders should be much faster than re-reading the original disc, again the DVDFab 30-day trial will allow you to confirm this.

      Dear signals

I am sorry if it is forbidden, I have no bad intentions and I don't want anybody to hurt or offend.

I will be glad to hear the answers, it's very important for me, because I will decide to buy or not to buy DVDFab.

      Thank you in advance.
      Best regards.

      Sincerely

Again, please use the 30-day trial, it is better to have answers made in your own hardware/software environment than something someone else would tell you, even with the best of intentions.

DVDFab will do what it says it can do, it would not have so many customers otherwise.

          Dear signals

Will it create ISO MovieOnly from BDMV Folder Structure or only MovieOnly BDMV Folder Structure from BDMV Folder Structure?

          Best regards.

Yes, these are commonly used features. You can choose the Source using the folder icon located to the right of the Source dropdown. You can create an image file by choosing the ISO icon (paper with small disc) located just to the right of the Target dropdown. How well it will work with content you already have can be determined during the trial period.

              Dear signals

Thank you for your fast replies.
Please tell me one more, trial version is the full features version, I mean after buying it, it will have the same features no limitations? So if I will create with Trial version my MovieOnly will it be the same MovieOnly as on Full version?

              Best regards.

The trial and full versions work the same. However, the trial version has all modules enabled. It sounds like you only need BD to BD but you will want to pay attention to the modules you use.

One other thing to note, there will be a watermark on the video in trial mode with any kind of compression (ex. BD50 to BD25). You will want to make your purchase decision sooner rather than later since you would need to redo any compressed items after your purchase (assuming you dislike the watermark).

Sorry, I was busy and thanks to Complication for the fill-in. What he said is 100% correct. The watermark with compression or in BD to Mobile is the only difference. Be sure to run the installer "As Administrator". If you decide to purchase, remember to enter the discount code for 20% off. It is listed on the DVDFab website home page.

                      Watermark on Trial Version

Does the trial version of DVDFab Blue-ray to Blue-ray puts a watermark on a 1:1 movie only backup?

What is the differences between DVDFab Blue-ray to Blue-ray and the free DVDFAB HD Decrypter?

                      Thanks.

No, 1:1 is no compression so it is not possible to add a watermark (video stream is not changed).

The free version does not have any compression options and (at least in DVD) some copy protection support is delayed (e.g. not available) for a few months.

While I'm not certain, I believe the watermark does, in fact, appear on a non-compressed BD ---> BD rip while in trial version.

Additionally, the freeware version is a ripper only
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I would be nice to know a definite answer so that I would make note of the backups that may need to be redone with the paid version.

When you say "ripper only", do you also mean decrypt too? I am not quite sure if the term ripper implies decryption and copy.

I'm not able to run the freeware version on my main rig since I have lifetime subs on all modules.
My old XP rig which I have used for testing the freeware version, etc., has no BD capability.

It should be easy enough for you to test it.
How many flicks have you done in trial mode???
Do you have any rips that aren't compressed? Is the logo present?
If no, rip a BD movie without any compression and see.

You can also do a search on the forum for the watermark and see what other users have reported.

                              Rip = Decrypt.
A ripper will decrypt and image the files on a hdd
When I said ripper only, I'm referring to the fact that the freeware version has no burn utility, ie., none integrated and no way to access one.
You have to use an "external" burn engine
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
