You have to be kidding using a laptop of those specifications to do what you are attempting to do.

Either buy/build of devent specifications or give up.

there are innumerable posts on this forum about performance.

(removed), do your own research. It's all here for you to read.

Please leave off the calling people names part (i.e. lazy). Any inability to find the right search terms or unwillingness to try are common problems in all forums. if you would like to point them in the right direction great but not if you feel compelled to smack them over the head first.

            Let's agree to disagree.

as long as we continually hold the hand of one time posters, they will never improve.

Unwillingness to do research, an inability to help themselves, or general laziness seems to be a common trait these days amongst the general population.

The problem with your theory is that the continual waves of new posters cannot learn from the sins of the past posters because they don't search and read before posting (too much trouble). It is impossible then for them to "improve." However, each new person is going to feel welcomed or not based on the responses to their first time transgression (however repetative it is for us).

The bottom line is that you are not required to respond but if you choose to then you need to be nice about it. Isn't there an Aussie expression for "if you can't play nice..."?

As I said, let's agree that we disagree on this subject.

If you help instead of chastising them for asking for help, their knowledge level would improve instantly. If anyone chooses not to help another user, fine, just don't post in the thread.
