    Unusable Copy

I have tried this using both V7 as well as V8.

When copying BD to File, the MTS files are either 0 byte or "unusable"…

    Pc Specs as listed below.

Of note is that this is the First Time I have tried to use DVD Fab on this PC.

I am currently trying an ISO of the Full Disc to see if goes better. Movie is the Time Traveler’s Wife.
    Suggestions appreciated!

    Update

Update: Still left with nothing of use…

I burned the ISO to disc (BD50 RE) and the Disc plays! Yet the movie file, 00013.m2ts, reports a rate of 0kbps and will not load in 4 different editors or converters that I tried…

It would appear that there is a protection scheme here that DVDFab can only partly break… Which makes no sense at all

      Dear Wheezy:
It looks impossible since I'm using V7 and V8 and it works well.
So would you please give me more details that you set.
      1. Which Video Decoder and Video Encoder you selected?
      2. Which file you convert? (mp4?AVI? or MKV?)
It better not to use the CUDA Decoder and Encoder, since there still have some bugs.

        Thanks for responding!

These are what show up under Widows Media Player:

I do not know how to check the DVDFab to see which one it is using?

My Video Card is ATI whereas only NVIDIA cards have Cuda.

I would be happy to beta test anything that comes up???

I tried 2 different BD Movies and got the same results.

To check the settings in DVDFab, go to Common Settings (click on the small green circle) then select "A/V Codec" from the menu pane on the left. You might also want to try the v8.0.1.1 Beta that was released today.

What are your settings in DVDFab for A/V Codec?

Please try setting the Video Decoder settings to all "Software" and then try again, DXVA is still pretty buggy, which isn't DVDFabs fault. Report back if it helps or doesn't help.

racem22: Thanks. I will give that a run today!

I also have CUDA available from my video card… May try that too but a Working output is of more interest to me than a Fast Failure

                            Well that was positively baffling…

I am running the 8.0.1.1 Beta and tried setting the Video Decoder to Software as Racem22 recommended.

It did not work on the "Copy" of the BD I started this Topic about… It did however work on a commercial BD disc…

I then set it back to DXVA and tried the same disc again. It worked!

I am going to consider this closed at this point. I am guessing I can resolve it using Software as Racem22 suggested, if I encounter it again.

I think that my "Copy" is perpetuating the problem and not a good test piece to use. The original disc had to go back and it is time to erase this one

I have learned a good amount about the program through this so I do not consider it a loss!
