    error code 121 What am I doing wrong?

    Hello all,

    Total newbie here, so please forgive me if I use the wrong acronyms etc...

    I'm trying to do full disc rips of my BD's and DVD's directly to my ReadyNas NV+ from my HP laptop with BD drive with both hardwired to my router. I want the files named and grouped so I can use any media streamer that can play ISO's. I have a SageTV HD300 on the way.

    I purchased both DVD copy & Blu Ray Copy. I'm trying to name the rips at the same time and everything seemed to be going fine till it went to burn the ISO to the NAS and I got the failed error code 121;

    From the log;

    Oh, one other thing, I'm of the mind that ISO's are the easiest and most universal to burn to, but I just read if you're doign full disc with no changes that the 1:1 Clone is the same. Is that accurate, and can most media streamers coming out like the Sage or Dune play both without issue?

    My main goal is to preserve A/V quality including the hi-rez codecs and make it easy for stand alone streamer UI's to get movie covers and display the media.

        Thanks,
        Any issue with using this as the target?

        \\NAS\Concerts\Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scotts.iso

        Do I need to map the NAS as a network drive or should I be able to write to it if it shows up in the "browse" radio box?

                    Well mapping the NAS and subfolder as a network drive worked. I'm writing my third disc onto it right now.

                    This process seems pretty slow, about two hours per BD. Is there any way to speed things up without loosing any quality? Could it be that slow because my NAS is in XRAID mode and duplicating everything?

                        Actually the firmware upgrade speeded it up pretty good.

                        As to my full disc vs 1:1 clone iso's question, am I correct in assuming that for a Blu Ray licensed streamer the latter would work better and have all the extras including BD Live etc.?

                        A lot of people say that doing iso's for DVD's is bad, but most of that info seems old-ish, is that relevant information still, since it seems most of the streamers I've looked at can do these ok...

                          Clone mode may work better on some players, but the good ones have no problem with Full Disc. Clone's sole advantage is that it duplicates the layout and structure of the original disc, which is not a factor on most players. Creating ISOs of BDs or DVDs is something I try to avoid since it adds to processing time, but again for some players or streaming there may be advantages.
