    It works but...

Just tried converting The DaVinci Code Blu-ray to DVD.

I set the output to DVD9 (8100MB). However, the resulting folder is only 2.96GB in size and the aspect ratio is set to 4:3 with large black bars above and below the picture. The audio (AC-3 TrueHD/5.1) has also only been converted to Stereo. The forced subtitles work perfectly though. The log is shown below...

    Code:

The ISO may have been faulty or not read correctly. If you mount the ISO and play it, does it appear normal? Please try a few chapters with the original disc if you have time, also perhaps a couple of chapters with DXVA turned off (software decode).

OK, I tried it again, directly from the blu-ray disk this time and it does exactly the same as above.

Just tried it on 'Troy' direct from the blu-ray disc, and the same thing happens.

Indeed,it compresses too much and the sound stream is only 2ch ac3.

I just tried Iron Man 2 and I concur. Movie is compressed too far for DVD-5 and sound is only 2 channel. I believe the quality of the movie is being compromised with the compression, I hope for the final version this can utilize the full disc and decode down to 5.1. If those two are addressed I feel for me, it'll be a viable option to purchase.
