This page http://blog.dvdfab.cn/cinavia-protection.html used to have American Assassin listed as infected (rightfully so) but now it is not there at all. Am I under some sort of Mandella Effects or is this true, and if so why?

I have the disc and will check it. I assume you mean the Blu-ray.
UPDATE: Not all versions of the BD are supported, please attach the DVDFab internal log session that shows the disc ID for the one that you have. I now see the Bd for American Assassin on the list again and it is unsuported still...? I did not see it there yesterday. I have US version.Comment

As I said, not all versions of the disc are supported.
