    Twilight saga Eclipse

I have been trying to get the 3rd film from the Twilight series 'Eclipse' to go onto my computer and have been unable to. I load dvdfab and insert the dvd and then everytime dvdfab just stops responding. I have even tried it on pathplayer enabled and disabled. Im hoping I can provide some information that will help you guys with this one.

So far this dvdfab has worked with all other movies but just won't respond after I put this one in. I'm running on Windows Vista and here are some logs.

If I left anything out that would be needed please let me know and I will provide that as well.

    Thanks

    Hi CarolinaGirl,

    1) Please understand that "Task_1 failed! Error=102" error message that means DVD_Error_ReadFile (failed to read original disc's File ).

    2) Please try to install the latest beta version 8.0.5.1 at http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=DVDFAB_BET to copy again and see the result.

    3) You can also check if this original disc is bad (dirty/scratched). Go clean it firstly before you copy, and if it doesn't help - return your DVD for exchange. And don't forget to clean your drive as well.

    Best regards,

OK so I installed the new version and tried again. Got the same results, it says that its opening the movie when I first insert it. Then it freezes and after few minutes I get a message reading:

        Hi CarolinaGirl,

Please visit http://www.dvdfab.com/passkey-lite.htm to download and install our latest free version of DVDFab Passkey to remove protections firsty.

And then use DVDFab DVD Copy to copy your movie again and see if you still encounter the same problem.

Thanks and I will try that, but I don't understand why I have to get a passkey when I paid for the service? I have also cleaned the disk. It plays in my dvd player and in my pc but everytime I insert it for dvdfab, dvdfab quits responding. Thanks

You don't have to run Passkey with DVDFab since DVDFab can decrypt everything.

Please send the info files to us, then we can check it out asap, thanks.

I've tried to do this but it won't let me. Before I insert this disc clicking the send info files does nothing. However, once I put the Eclipse dvd in I am unable to send files because it freezes and stops responding. IDK why, I use the same 8.0.5.0 and I was able to get through The Sorcerer's apprentice, but everytime I try with Eclipse its nothing just quits working. Thanks

Maybe does not work because an update might be needed for this DVD which is why fengtao asked for you to send the info files. You are the only one so far on the forum who has this DVD as it not due to be released till December 4, 2004.

Thanks. I will keep trying with the info files. Ive never had it stop responding on any movies before, its strange, and btw I'm not criticizing anyone. I've been using dvdfab for years now and its the best, yall keep up the good work. Was just hoping I could help if there was an issue

                      Please try this:
                      • remove discs from all drives
                      • open DVDFab, go to Common Settings->Pathplayer and set to always enable
                      • close DVDFab
                      • insert the Twilight disc in your drive, wait until the drive gets ready, 5-10 seconds, you will hear it spinning
                      • close any autoplay window that may open
                      • start DVDFab
                      • See if it will complete the scan. If it does, click on "Send Info files"; if it will not send them correctly, click on Save and email the file it makes to service@dvdfab.com

After trying what Signals mentioned you can get the info files is when DVDFab is started and you insert the DVD as soon as it starts scanning click cancel to cancel the scan. Then open common settings-info and select the DVD Drive with the DVD in.

OK so I tried putting the disc in and then starting dvdfab, it still wouldn't open all the way. It began by with Open DVD Source: E:\ [The_Twilight_Saga_Eclipse]...and it seems like its opening it. Then it just stops and I get a message that it has quit responding.
I also tried to hit the cancel button before it opened, and I got some info but it still stopped responding.
Here is what it had under the info
Info for drive [E:\] (DVDFab 8.0.5.0)
                          Drive Region: 1

                          Disc media: DVD
                          Disc type: DVD-Video
                          Disc is not opened

Then it states that DVDfab needs to close because it has encountered an error. It said report sent successfully! So maybe u got it and have something to go by. Thanks

I am also having some problems with this title.
But at least I can get DVDFab to "open" the disc without crashing.
Unfortunally the protection seems to trick DVDFab into removing all VTS sets, leaving only the menu (about 4mb).

                            DVDFab passkey gives this info.

If I browse the VIDEO_TS folder it shows that all 14 VTS sets are the same size (about 7gb each).

                            I hope this info helps.

Go into common settings-info of DVDFab and use the send info files so DVDFab can take a look at the DVD to see what is causing this.
