Help - All DVD's copied are data disc

I have a problem, every dvd I copy burns as a data dvd...I was trying to copy a navigation disc before (didn't work) and had made it burn as a data disc, now I don't know what I did (duh)!

Could you please explain step by step what you're trying to do? Also, DVDFab was meant for Video DVDs/BDs, not to copy anything with DRM(Digital Rights Management) Protection, which the Navigation disc probably has(I'm guessing here). You could try ripping to ISO then burning that to a blank dual layer disc(if it needs it), but I don't foresee this working. If you are talking about a video DVD, please post your logfiles as directed in the Help Us Help You sticky.

I agree with Racem22, I don't think Fab will do this but you may try Clone Mode to see the results.

Well, this makes 3 of us.
We're willing to help, but we'd have to ask you a ton of questions just to know where to start.
We need specifics.

As far as the nav disc...
after clearing out some mental cobwebs, I seem to recall good-old, reliable and defunct dvd decrypter working.
Try it in .ISO mode

Ok I have more info, the problem is that I can not get my system to burn a DVD+R DL disc. If I burn to a single layer it works, the burner is +R DL capable. This happens with DVDFab, Nero, AnyDVD, Imgburn, etc. The drive is a Matshita BD-MLT UJ240AS.

If you are posting about an operational problem with one of the DVDFab products, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will probably be needed.

First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.

DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:

C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad if you want to read them. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file. The log files can be attached to a post using the "Manage Attachments" button below the editing box.

dvdfab_burn_vso.log Attach for all problems. The entries are time stamped with the most recent at the top.

dvdfab_burn_imgburn.log Attach if you have ImgBurn set as the burning engine and the problem concerns disc burning. Time stamped with the most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.

Other Information:

Depending on the nature of the problem, it can help to know:
If this happens with all discs or just one
Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration
If you are using external hard drives or optical drives
If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware
If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added.

Hi Altaman
Your drive is in PIO mode, Open Fab Click the Green √ top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.
The disc's you are using are considered garbage "sorry" consider picking up some Verbatim DL (with the AZO Dye) or Tayio Yuden or Verbatim for SL
You may also want to install ImgBurn it is "free" and you will find it here along with a tutorial on how to set it up remember to set up the AWS in ImgBurn and also lower your write speed to 1/2 the rated speed of your disc's

Yep it set to Checkj DMA automatically...picked up some verbatium disks and still making coasters.

Am really at my wits end on this.

Sorry about that could you post your resent logs that you have after resetting DMA?
Have you also tried to use ImgBurn?
The only other thing it could be is your drive MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ240AS they are know for being junk drives.
