What are you trying copy "Full" or "Movie Only"? Have you tried the lastest release? Two came out in one day, the lastest being 8.0.5.6. I was able to copy both using the version prior to the newest release. My problem was that it choose the wrong tilte set when copying "Move Only". It does take a minute or more to scan. I would assume the new version corrected the the title choose problem and maybe yours. I would have to agree and check the DVD that it is not damaged. I don't think you need Passkey, at least I didn't.
Hi mllandbal
Put the movie in your DVD player and as the movie is playing take note of what Title# it is, when you open Fab and it analyzes the disc make sure it is the same Title# that was playing as before and chose that number.
I have seen other posts were Fab pick the wrong title, this does not happen very often, I think the title they said to choose was #6, depending on your region

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.
For Region 1 US it is title 6. With Full Disc you do not need to set a title. This has been tested with ALL available R1 US versions of this movie and works with DVDFab v8.0.5.6 with PathPlayer set to Always Enable.

Yes tried that..i have been using dvdfab for at least 5 years and usually figure it out on my own or waite for an update..but not on this one,dvd is brand new...it wont go pass analyzing it..thats all it does is keeps trying to analyze..i let it try for a awhile....have tried enabling pathplayer and disabling..nothing works..i have version 8.0.5.6 so i do have the newest version..i dont like resorting to using another program and thats why dvdfab is the only program i have ever purchased for copying because it is almost always reliable to do everything the first time and never takes long to update if it cant.no biggy though..thanks for all the help......
If you are posting about an operational problem with one of the DVDFab products, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will probably be needed.
First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.
DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:
C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad if you want to read them. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file. The log files can be attached to a post using the "Manage Attachments" button below the editing box.
dvdfab_burn_vso.log Attach for all problems. The entries are time stamped with the most recent at the top.
dvdfab_burn_imgburn.log Attach if you have ImgBurn set as the burning engine and the problem concerns disc burning. Time stamped with the most recent at the bottom.
dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.
dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.
Other Information:
Depending on the nature of the problem, it can help to know: If this happens with all discs or just one Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration If you are using external hard drives or optical drives If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added.
Posts with all the requested information will be answered first.

Does the automatic not work on PathPlayer? I always leave it at automatic, but I see recommendation saying to set Always On.
Updated to 8.0.5.6 and still could not read the disc. It says "Error while reading! Please choose what to do? Retry / Abort / Ignore /Ignore All. Choosing any of these options does not work - the program still tries to read the disc until I hit Cancel or close the error dialog box.
Then the program can copy the movie in Full Disc mode until it encounters VTS_03_2.VOB and pops up the same error message box again. However, only a portion of VTS_03_1.VOB was copied.
The movie is in Title 6. No problem watching it in dvd players. It's weird that VLC shows that it's playing Title 16 while WMP shows it's playing Title 6. I purposefully switch to Title 16 in some of the dvd players and it automatically jumps to Title 6.
I have updated everything that I can think of. I have tried to copy all day. Earlier in the day, when DVDFab did open, it copied to about 50% and then it gives me "Reading/Writing Error Control. Error while reading! Please choose what to do? Retry - Abort - Ignore - Ignore All." I have restarted my computer every time and now I cannot even get DVDFab to open. As soon as I insert the DVD, the Passkey opens up and starts running and about 55 seconds in the "Reading/Writing Error Control" box pops up.
Can anyone give me any thoughts on how to get this corrected? I believe I have attached the correct information requested. Thank you so much!
The logs don't seem to show that you are trying to copy Eclipse. Please be more clear about the problem. If it is a different movie, start a new thread. Use Full Disc to make the backup copy of Eclipse, or if you are in the US, select title 6 if using Customize or Main Movie modes.
Ooops, just found Eclipse in the bottom of your internal log. Not sure if there is a third version of this or not. Which type of disc do you have--the retail single disc edition, the two-disc edition, or the one that comes with the Blu-ray+DVD versions?
Note: If you are using the free version of DVDFab, it does not have the Eclipse update yet.
