    Repeated video stutter and distortion

    Hi

I have been having the same problem with a number of DVD's when using DVD Copy (currently at 8.0.2.2 but I already upgraded to that from previous versions where I had the same problem), in that it will copy the DVD (e.g. just the main movie, to a DVD5, sometimes with some compression, sometimes with no compression needed), but I end up with momentary pauses in the video which then corrects itself by displaying some video corruption (e.g. blockiness) and then carries on ok, to be repeated every minute or so.

    Most recent problem was with Shutter Island, here is some of the log info;

Thanks for the info you've sent so far... can you please also send us a burn log from the disc you burned that is displaying this errant behaviour?

It'll be found in the same folder as the internal.log in a sub-folder called vso.burn.log.

I notice the video stutter when playing back the resultant video_ts directory using Power DVD 5. I appreciate it is an old version, but this s/w has no problem playing the original DVD, and many DVD's copy fine. I have in the past burned a similarly failed DVD copy, which showed the same symptoms on my TV DVD player. So I don't have a burn log other than the following:

Send the info files. Why would you not want to update to the current version?

            I've uploaded the files.

I've had this problem with a number of previous versions as they were available at the time that I was trying to copy discs that exhibited this problem. It is not that it won't copy them, but the resultant video is corrupted at times as described.

I can of course try the latest version as well.

This is only a log header, generated every time you start Fab up.

You also indicate you have burned files in the past that showed the same problem, and indicated that playback was also a problem with the resultant disc. If you used Fab to do that burn, somewhere in the log file will be a record of that burn. That's what I'm after... you may have to scroll down the file to find it, but it should be there.

              Please advise.

              DC

P.S.: Please also D/L VLC Media PLayer from the web... it's a freebie... and let us know if the same HD file playback problem exists with that software.

                Well, disaster.

Downloaded and installed 8.0.6.1 and now all I get is a single title (through Main movie only option) with a playtime of 0:01, which shows as 0Mb->0Mb under the quality heading.

I installed the same s/w on my win7 laptop and got exactly the same thing. So now I can't copy the DVD at all!

Looking at the info tab it shows a shorter list of info which I've pasted in below.

Separately, and earlier, I tried to play the previous output from DVDFab on VLC but that crashed at around 18seconds into the movie file.

I have always gone on to burn the video_ts files using Nero, so don't have a DVDFab log for burning.

                  Hi:
Would you please attached two folder: "Video_TS.IFO" & "VTS_01_0.IFO". We can fix this issue if we got them.
