Copying Disks with Duel Aspect Ratios

I just ran into a problem while copying the movie Shrek to my hard drive. On the disk is both Widescreen and Fullscreen formats. When you put the DVD into a player it asks you which version you want to watch. On the copied version it is playing the Fullscreen version and there is no option to choose the Widescreen. Any ideas?

Which Shrek DVD is this? What option did you use to copy the DVD with as well. Not able to help if not have all info needed

Sorry about that. It is the first Shrek movie and I used DVD Copy -> Full Disc. DVD9 Quality

Ok what you need to to is Disbale Pathplayer for this DVD since it a 2001 release

Ok...So I understand. Pathplayer is telling DVDFab that the Widescreen/Fullscreen Selection screen is not usable so it isn't copying it. Yes/No?

Not really as pathplayer is removing the widescreen by mistake thinking it some sort of new copy protection.

Pathplayer was introduced some time in 2005/2006 to deal with the newer copy protection added to DVDs and does not work correctly for some older DVDs and it sounds like the First Shrek dvd released is one of them

If the DVD is authored with a 16:9 title, use Customize mode and copy that one.

is this the 2 dvd edition of shrek or 1 dvd??
if it is the 2 disc version 1 disc is widescreen and 2nd disc is fullscreen.
because i'm not finding shrek 1 with both widescreen and fullcreen
on the same disc

It probably the 2 disc but never said. I just checked both of mine and you are correct the single disc is Full Frame and the 2 Disc has Full Frame on Disc 1 and Disc 2 has Widescreen
