    Academic Gameplan DVD to ISO

I am trying to rip DVD's from Academic Gameplan seminar. I need to turn them into a file so my daughter can watch them on her netbook. It has no DVD rom only SD slot and USB. The DVD's get to about 67% and then has reading errors. I tell DVDfab to ignore all and the time remaining indicator just keeps increasing. I tried with path player on and off...no change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Checked my log

This is for the first try with pathplayer on...

    DVDFab 8.0.5.0 (2011/02/12 16:12:54)

After this it just lists the same info for the other tries... Does this help at all?

      DVD compliance

      Hey AGJ;
I haven't tried any other software as I have never had any problems with DVDfab before. I'll take a look at IMGburn though, thanks for the suggestion.
I don't understand the "not DVD compliant" thing... do you mean like the North America vs. Europe thing? or is it something different?
Sorry I sound like an idiot, but I'm not very versed in any of this DVD encoding stuff.
      Thanks!

        It has VOB for sure

I just checked the Temp folder for that disc. I have VTS_00 through VTS_03
all are VOB files, but I don't find BUP or IFO files.... Should they be in the video_TS folder?

Yes, they should be in the VIDEO_TS folder. Windows may be lying about what is in there. Do a windows search for the file *.IFO and see if it can find them.

            Thanks Signals

I did a search but found nothing. I did update to the latest version of DVDFab so I'll try ripping again.

              Hi mjcov2000
Have you also tried any other DVDS to see if you still get errors???

Your drive may have fallen into PIO mode and you will need to reset DMA
to do this Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.
Also the version you are using is quite old make sure that you update to the newest version as you stated you were going to.

If it still is not working for you
Please post your logs the default location is:

                Hey CBR929

I just read your post. I did rip two other DVDs today. Both ripped smoothly as always. I then tried the one that has given me problems with 8.0.7.3 only to have the same issue. The rip hangs at about 62%. Now I am trying IMGBurn and I am seeing all kinds of errors in individual sectors. Here is the latest portion of the log:

It is still trying, and it's at 83% after 4 plus hours
Is it possible that they put bad sectors in as copy protection?

Thanks to all for your help so far!!!!

                  IMGBurn finally got it

It took about 7 hours but I finally got an ISO and it worked perfectly on my daughter's netbook.

Thanks again for all the help! You guys are awesome!

                    AGJ

                    Sorry for my slow response!

It took IMGBurn and a ton of patience. Of four DVD's in this set disc one took about 4 hours, disc three took 3 hours and discs two and four took about 30 min each with DVDFab.

I'm pissed I paid over $150.00 for badly made DVD's. But it all turned out in the end.
