I followed DVDFab Tech support and still can not get program to open. Downloaded ver.8073 and had no problem, program opens OK. Ver. 8082 will not open. Using Windows 7 with Verizon Security program.

Info from Tech Support as follows:

Please disable your Antivirus/Anti Spyware/Firewall software which you may
have running. Then run DVDFab again to see the result.

If fail, please use the Add/ Remove function in the Control Panel to
uninstall DVDFab8 completely first. Then open My Computer and go to
c:\Program Files (OR) wherever you installed DVDFab, delete the "DVDFab"
folder. Open "c:\WINDOWS \ PREFETCH" clean all the relevant ".pf " files
    with DVDFab.

Restart computer and check if there are some related files left, if does,
    please delete them.

After all that clean procedure, please install the latest version of DVDFab
    8.0.8.2 at

When installing, please Right-click DVDFab setup file, and then click "Run
as administrator". After installing, Right-click DVDFab shortcut on the
desktop, click "Run as administrator" to run DVDFab to see the result.

I am having the same issues

Here are the details of the error. I have been able to run production releases with no issues for a couple of years. I have had the same issue with all beta's after successfully running 8.0.7.3.

I also have Vista Home Premium with Norton Securtiy. I also did as instructed by tech support and 8082 still would not open. I have not had this problem before now. After downloading 8082 I downloaded 8073 without uninstalling 8082 first and it worked. It has to be a problem with the update. I will continue to use version 8073 until 8082 has been revamped.

Having the same problem as everyone else. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, shut down my anti-virus, scrubbed and deleted according to the best instructions in this forum and still can only use the January release.

I'm running a 32 bit HP w/ Pentium Dual E2200, use Vista with Macafee Internet Security and I'm still running IE8.

I've been using DVDFab for at least the last 5 years and never had a problem. Grateful for any further sugestions!

I also have just tried 8083. Same experience as 8082. It seems that new versions that will not open on computers is becoming a trend for DVDfab.

[QUOTE=Spock]I also have tried everything. Same experience as everyone else. I just hope DVDFab will correct this soon. Getting frustrated with all this.
