    DVD Analyzes But Won't Copy

I have a DVD of a 1955 movie "I'll Cry Tomorrow" which plays fine and there doesn't seem to be any nicks or problems with the disc, however it won't copy with DVDFab. It initially analyzes, but then when I click Start, the program freezes and won't continue to copy. I'm not having a problem with any other DVDs, even a movie dated 1952 worked fine. Tried using an old version of DVDShrink too, and the same thing, it analyzes but won't copy.

Any suggestions? If you need a copy of the most recent log information, can you just remind me how to access it.

    Thank you.

    Hi dtbm51
You may try disabling Pathplayer, to do this Open Fab Click the Green top right > Protection > Path Player click Disable Path Player click OK restart Fab and try again, just remember to set it back to Always Enabled.

Also give this thread a read through by my friend Maineman

Just a reminder that the theatrical release date has little to do with it. The DVD release date for the movie you specified is November 2007.

Let DVDFab analyze the disc, then look at the text on the Info page (checkmark in green circle, top right). Copy and paste the text into a post. You can also try turning off PathPlayer.

              Really would like some feedback.

This is very unlike this forum. Always received fairly quick answers or suggestions. After posting the logs, etc., there's been no response. Please help if you can. Thanks.

                Hi dtbm51
Please try the latest beta found here

Also download VSO Inspector here open DVD Fab let it analyze the disc then stop it, but do not close out DVD Fab then run VSO Inspector on your disc it will tell you if it is a bad disc.

Since we have no burn logs you may also try resetting DMA to do this:
Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.

Thanks everyone, I've determined it was the disc afterall.

But I have always wondered what the Beta version is used for. Should I download it for future use and what exactly will it do for me?
