    True Grit Still Not working

Just downloaded 8098...trying True Grit. It has been 15 minutes and it is still just reading the disc.....not working at all. Tried another movie and 8098 does the same thing, just reading without stopping at all.....

I will try and send logs in a bit to see if that shows anything. But still have issues with newer QT versions

    More info??

Here is as much of the log as I could see. I have tried several movies in 8098 and none work...they just sit there and read and read and read without stopping....it has been the same as all other versions of QT lately. 8085 works great but nothing since then even with the updates. I have loaded and re-loaded and cleaned system and re-booted and on and on but the newer QT versions just scan/read and never get to the point of backing up

      Still issues with 8098

Nothing has worked....it will not read the disc properly, just keeps going and going. I have tried many, many disc and they all just scan and scan and scan never stopping. All the recent QT releases have not worked at all at my end. Still won't work on True Grit....or this one now.

Seems like some people still have issues and some people it was resolved as far as True Grit...but not for me. Still frustrated....

Are you using the free version?

The fix for True Grit was enabled for the HD Decrypter version of 8098.

Make sure PathPlayer is set to "Always Enable".

I have pathplayer on always enable. I tried it with it off too and I tried to use
It won't even get to the point to try main movie only for chapter 18 (?) because it just keeps scanning and scanning and does not stop.

I am not as familar with looking in common settings. I know the logs and all that jazz but when you say common settings what specifically do you mean...I will get whatever info you need.

I have been working for a few days on trying to get the newest QT versions to work. I run Windows 7...updated from XP system....8085 works great. I went back and did an experiment and discovered that none of the newer QT versions work at all. They all load up fine on my desk top but when you scan a movie they all do the same, they scan scan scan scan and it never stops. I try doing main movie only and it will not stop scanning from the open source screen. I uninstalled previous version and went 8097, 8098 etc...with same results. I have re-booted system each time after re-installing. I got rid of all the older versions so there is not a conflict.

The same thing seemed to happen not too long ago and after several updates I believe they came up with a version that was a workaround on windows 7 or xp systems. I think it was beta versions then. Maybe just maybe that will happen this time...does anyone know if they are actually working on trying ti get a work around for some issues I have seen on here. It does not look like I am the only one...True Grit is the main issue but no movie will read at all...just scans and scans. I have posted logs before but here is some more This is a small example of what I have been doing. For the most part 8085 is great other then for True Grit......

I mean I have had pathplayer on and off and cleaned system...so maybe any more help would be nice or if they are still working on the issues.

Anything else I can show you let me know

                Thanks

                  Hi kshduckman1170

Please try resetting DMA to do this Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.

You may also try uninstalling your drive, go into device manager click DVD/CD ROM drives, right click your drive and click uninstall, restart your computer and let windows reinstall your drivers for your drive.

If you do not have ImgBurn installed and use it as your burn engine, please install it and configure it to work with Fab, you can do this by clicking the link in my signature.

If you decide to install ImgBurn as suggested, open ImgBurn click > Tools > Filter Driver Load Order, and post what is listed.

                    Duuuude...

Where were you 2 days ago when I needed you. I hit reset the DMA, it was already checked like it was suppose too. It automatically re-booted my computer....I logged back in, got into 8098...tried True Grit and it worked like a charm. The only weirdness is this, I have both Nero and IMG and use Nero quite a bit...when I went to back it up to disc on Nero it gave me a error I had never seen. It said dvd relocation failed and it would not burn...so i switched to IMG and it worked perfectly. Like I said I do use both but Nero had that weird error that I have never seen and it would not work....anyway....hopefully I will not have anymore issue with 8098....Thanks a lot.

                      I was here.
Glad it is working for you.
My honest opinion, ImgBurn is by far the best there is, once you have it set up per the tutorial and have the AWS set up, every time you put the same disc's in ImgBurn, it will always burn at the speed you requested, no playing with settings.
