I stop everything load on disc insert. However DVDFab loads since I installed latest version, .
Ill try what you said with image burn, but I had installing apps that do the same thing as I already have.

Also had a thought, I installed an updated Iso Buster. Ill try uninstall it.

Hi I followed your post exactly, but still the same.
The logs show the exact same thing as I have posted.

I deleted all .pf files and also deleted what was left after reboot.
I ran installer as Admin, I also set exe to run as Admin.
I deleted all DVDFab reg entries before reinstalling.

Im at a lose now, as DVDFab refuses to read disc's.
I even tried 8.0.5.0, this did exactly the same thing.
As I said though, I can use other players and the disc plays fine.
WMC and Showtime play it fine.

Im having the exact same problem with every DVD I put in.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I even tried another version, same issue.

Im now going to go back to the broken version I had installed (broken in the sence, I still have that nasty cuda bug that makes stuff unplayable) to see that reads discs.

When drive stops, it says insert DVD or drag files. I can go to my nero player and that plays disc fine, so I know my PC has read the disc fine. If I point dvdfab to my F: drive, it says "unaccessable". Same if I drag and drop.

According to the first poster, they were asked a question regarding their GFX card, I was never asked such a question.

OK, I know what you're talking about but when that screen pops up, it gives me no buttons (that are visible). It just says "Change blah blah blah" and there are NO buttons to press.

Now I can't even get the screen to appear. All it does is still spin trying to change the hybrid layer...

This happened to me, too. However, try switching the blank disc drive with the source disc drive. I did this and the problem disappeared

  • DVDFab 8.1.1.2 Qt (08/11/2011) Not Reading Discs

When I put a disc into my computer (for DVD Copy), it just spins and tries to open it with the message that it's "Changing the Hybrid Disc Layer Type." (Mars Needs Moms, for example)

Then I have to exit the program manually and restart it, and it still does the same exact thing.

When I first installed it gave me a message about "Yes" or "No" depending on the graphics drivers. I chose "No." Does that have something to do with it?

    Thanks
Working...
