8.1.2.0 unable to open Mad Max DVD

I downloaded the latest PASSKEY but still unable to "Open DVD source:[D:\MADMAX]... Window pops up with:

    Reading/Writing Error Control
Error while reading! Please choose what to do?
(choices: Retry, Abort, Ignore, Ignore All)

No matter what answer is given, DVDFab continues trying to "Open DVD source" until the Cancel button is hit.

Read errors are caused by several things.
    Dirty disc.
    Scratched disc.
    Defective disc.

Or in the case of an old movie like this one Pathplayer may be having a problem .

Turn off Pathplayer after cleaning the disc and try again.

I think there is a newer version of this classic, it could have new protection. Most likely a dirty disc if it is the old version.

        A quick search show----

        Mad Max 1979. Mel Gibson.
Mad Max 2 1981. Mel Gibson
        and
Mad Max Fury Road that does not have Mel Gibson in it.
So I guess we need to know which the OP has.

There is a MGM version and an Image Entertainment version, plus there are BD+DVD combo pack versions that may be different pressings. We need better info, rawtruth.

OK, this is the MGM Widescreen/Fullscreen (menu lets you choose) version of the first Mad Max, 1979, about 8GB. It's a double-sided disk from Netflix, other side has the Special Features.

My DVD players (LG, Panasonic) play it just fine, no delays, no pixels, no issues. And Windows Explorer has no problem displaying all the files on the disk. Of course, WE won't copy it due to encryption.

Gruñón, I don't know what Pathplayer is. Don't see any mention of it under Common Settings.
