QT versions don't work on Win7 64bit... but 8.0.8.5 works perfect!

I've been a dvdfab paying/registered customer for years... I have never had an issue with any updates/revisions of the software... until now.

I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64bit... and none of the QT versions of dvdfab work!

They al hang at the popup window where it's reading the dvd... it just goes on and on and on and on and on and on, etc etc... I have to close the window/end task on it to shut it down.

I reinstalled the 8.0.8.5 version of dvdfab, and it works without a hitch! Runs perfectly!

Judging by all the other people I've seen through this forum having issues with the QT versions and Windows 7, I have to believe it is a dvdfab software bug/issue with working correctly within Windows 7.

I have tried all QT versions, installed, reinstalled, no antivirus running, clean Win7 install, disabling PathPlayer, enabling PathPlayer, etc etc... doesn't matter... the QT versions simply do not work on Win7...

so like I mentioned, I uninstalled them, and installed version 8.0.8.5 of dvdfab, and it works flawlessly....

so.... when are we going to get an updated version of dvdfab that WORKS with Windows 7 ????

    thanks!

They all work on my Win 7 Pro 64bit computer

Must be something else on your computer that is interfering with Fab

Removal of new protections may not be available yet in the free version of DVDFab (HD Decrypter)

I have the exact same version of Win7 and no problems with Qt. I install and run DVDFab from the administrator account, Autoplay off.

06MonteSS has exactly the same problem as me.
Although I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
I have also gone through all those steps.
Like him 8085 works perfectly for me also.
Pathplayer can rip to HDD using the same discs and hardware that fails on all QT versions tried so far.

Must be something else, I run win7 64 bit ultimate, QT works on my machine. I don't remember if QT use .net or some other shared lib, might want to check that.

I'm having a similar problem, I can install and run all the QT versions of DVDFAB, but it is hit and miss whether I get a good backup of a DVD. 99% of the time I get minor blocking of the picture and frame dropouts. Also I might as well give up on using CUDA, it's awfully quick, but I get poor picture quality. I have now gone back to using 8.0.8.5 after reading this thread and all is great, perfect picture quality and I can now use CUDA again. I also use windows 7 64 bit premium

                Hi terry5
The new version has definately improved the picture quality while using CUDA but I am still getting frame drop outs (but not as many) So for the time being I will continue with 8.0.8.5
                Thanks anyway
