DVDFab DVD Copy - problem R2 titles

    Greetings! Am new here.

Would it be possible for all you forum regulars to start a list (in this thread) of all Region 2 DVDs that DVDFab has a problem with? Would be good if everyone wrote which version of DVDFab it is that has issues with whatever title (and so on.)

If there's already such a thread, then please point it out to me, someone.

        Well OK lets start off
        I've posted the issue here
The DVD is the R2 complete series of Surgical Spirit (barcode 5027626329549).
I've used versions 8.1.3.2 Qt, 8.1.2.6 Qt, and 7.0.9.3 of DVDFab (with and without pathplayer enabled) and the problem is consistent across all of them.
It takes about 6 minutes to open the DVD for the copy and all appears to work OK but when playing back the copy disc 1 episode 2 is unplayable.

        Is this sufficient detail

          I'd say so.

          Thanks.

Don't actually know of Surgical Spirit, but the whole point of my starting this thread was for people to contribute so that a definitive list might evolve.

At my end... Terminator 2 (Ultimate Edition) disc TWO... Terminator: Salvation disc TWO... and the special features discs of the Lord Of The Rings (Extended Editions.)

          I'm using DVDFab 6, btw.

For those discs that DVDFab had a problem with, I used another program (which I keep on hand, in case of emergencies.)

If I can remember any others, I'll post the titles (can't think of any.)

BTW... when you say "pathplayer enabled" ...what does that mean?

I mean... I see in the FAQ about turning it off and on... but what actually is it's function?

              What is Pathplayer?

                Thanks-a-plenty.

                I get it now.

However, I only use DVDFab in CLONE MODE (in order to create ISO files.)

Is PATHPLAYER ever needed to be activated/de-activated when DVDFab is running in CLONE MODE?

                  Yes.
Newer movies may not open/analyze/rip correctly without enabling PP.
On the other hand, Fab may stumble occasionally with older flicks and PP may need to be disabled.

Most users have it enabled by default.
                  Some prefer disabled by default.

                  Whatever floats your boat
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Remember that ISO files can be created from ANY of the DVD Copy modes. If you are using Clone just for this feature, you are wasting space, particularly if the disc has lots of previews or other junk.
