Smurfs R1 has new protection, there will be a fix for it soon. Do not waste your time trying to copy it as it is now.

I guess I'm confused Smurfs R1 came out like Sept I think and the newest release of DVDFab out in Dec can't copy it, is it me?

I got the main movie to backup. When it hits the error while analyzing press “abort” rather than ignore or anything else. Then select title 1(1). There is not much else on the single SD DVD anyway.

is a new update really on the way?

its no monday and still no new or beta version, is the SMURFS really that hard to crack? most times when a movie is out it only takes a day or two before a beta comes out to fix it. Any chance of a new version today?

Well, for my area, it was just released on friday. They will get to it.

If you're in a pinch until the new version comes out, v8.0.8.5 (non-QT) seems to backup just fine using "Main Movie" mode (didn't try using "Full Disc").

Cant copy The Smurfs, are they trying to come up with a new beta version? or did they just give up.

I'm beginning to wonder if they indeed gave up until a future regular release, normally it never takes this long to put up a beta.

A little patience gentlemen. Street date for USA Region 1 Smurfs was just Friday, Dec 2. I am sure the DVDFab team will have a fix soon.
