      OK. On this one...

122 HWS_FAILED_CALIBRATING 22 // Write failed at the beginning of the media (often a media that is poorly supported by the drive)

Ritek is CRAP but try setting your burn speed to 4x and if that fails, I would suggest installing the ImgBurn burning engine.

      Is this a portable computer?

OK I would download and install ImgBurn and use that as you burn engine instead of the VSO burn engine. Here is a link on how to download and install ImgBurn also on how to set the automatic write speed as well

I don't have that drive (GSA-H60L) but i do have other LG DVD burners (H42N and a H62L) and they won't bitset +R DVD blanks to DVD-ROM (unless you used MCSE to do that). They will bitset DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM discs though so i am wondering if that is the problem. Also yes RITEK-F16-01 are crappy to begin with.

If you go into "Settings" in Imgburn and click on the "Write" tab Page 1 and uncheck "Auto Change Book Type then click "OK" to save new setting then close Imgburn and then process and burn another F16 disc at 8x to see if that will help you.

Can you put that drive in another pc and try it out?

Is this a HP machine? If so, first check the machine to see if there are any diagnostic utilities on it or see if you can download diagnostic software for the burner from the HP site.

I do suspect that your burner is borked !!!!
