I have a friend who runs a store that sells Dvd's,Blu rays as well as other products. I coaxed him into selling me the DVD tonite but your latest paid version V 8.2.0.7 cannot open it. It continually scans, recognizes it as Battleship but that is it. It runs on and on with no results. I assume there is something for protection on the disc that your program cannot handle. I have to force the DVDFAB Window closed to stop it from running in a loop. I guess I will have to wait to back up my Original for my grandkids to run once you've solved the problem.

I can't send files as DVD FAB cannot open the disc, it just continually tries to open it. I left it for 20 minutes and it was still scanning to open the disc, to no avail.After a short while the light on the dvd/bluray player goes out and I have to right click on the DVDFAB Icon to close the window. I've tried all 4 of my dvd/bluray drives & same story.

Please advise when there is a solution. Thanks!!

Then try with pathplayer disabled. Also post internal logs

Please let DVDFab scan the disc as much as it will, the see if it will let you use the Send Info files button on the disc info page. This will gather information from the disc and send it to the developers. Internet connection required.

Just completed a "Full Disc" Bluray copy and it works fine(Store bought ).
Took 4 hours, mainly the writing to disk(BD-RE 50Gb/3.5 hrs at around 3800Kb/s))...DVDFab V8.2.0.7/ImgBurn V2.5.7.0

The OP was talking about the DVD, but it is good to know the Bluray works OK. Let us know when you have verified proper playback and tell us the UPC code of the disc (upper right corner on back of the package) and the Region/Country where purchased, thanks.

Disabling PathPlayer for "Battleship"

I disabled PathPlayer as suggested and , low & behold, DVDFAB was able to read the disc, I burned it with IMGBURN and it worked fine.

I realised that after I posted but what the heck...
The only info I can give you is: Region B, bought in Australia.. Haven't done a full play on it, but what I have seen is good.

If you have to turn off PathPlayer, then the disc is not being opened correctly by DVDFab. Please do this when you have time: put the disc in DVDFab and let it analyze it. Then click on the checkmark icon in the upper right to open the Info page. Click on the "Send Info files" button to send some of the information to the developers. Put your forum username in the info box somewhere. Thanks.

If you have an older version, it will copy the DVD without disabling anything. I used Version 5 without any problems

just to let all know that was on main movie mode and playback of main movie disc was flawless no chapter errors either

As Grump did, I used the old version 5 and it worked perfectly.
I had the same problem with "the Pirates! band of misfits" and had the same result.
