    DVD Fab Dual Layer Issue

I just bought DVD Copy tonight. However in the past I had been using HD Decrypter & didn't have any issues buring to a dual layered burner. I am able to change the setting to DVD5 to burn to a single layered disc, but who wants to do that (lose quality) when you have the capability to burn to a DL DVD. I posted this issue earlier and it was suggested to me that the free version wouldn't write data, so I bought the DVD Copy. When I try to burn DVD9 to a dual layerd burner it tells me once the movie is created as a digital file that the burning process has failed. I tried multiple USB outlets and still get the issue. I am able to burn to this drive using CD's. I was able to use HD Decrypter to burn to a Dual layer DVD before ( the burner is only a month and a half old) without an issue? Is there a setting I need to change for the Dual Layer?

It was also suggested that the laser that writes the DVD's in the burner may be shot. Is there anything I can change setting wise that would fix this issue? I will post the process log below.

      CBR929,

Here is the internal log from the latest disc I am trying to burn with my dual layer burner. I have been using Windata DVD+R DL, which I had burned a large handful before with the same drive and not had a problem.

Think your problem is that the media code you are using is to new/badly supported with that burner.

Try to get your hands on some Verbatim Azo.

                  www.imgburn.com

But it can't work miracles if the blanks do not get along with your burner.

                    Hi PrimeTime21
As my friend signals said, if your drive does not like these discs, ImgBurn may not help.

If you would like to use ImgBurn you will find instructions in the link in my signature on setting it up with Fab.
                    Hope this helps

Thanks to all for the replies and suggestions. I tried using IMG Burn with the Dual Layered Windata DVD+R DL's I have and had no success. They worked before and all of the sudden my burner doesn't like them, that boggles my mind. Anyhow, I tried with a Verbatim DVD+R DL and it worked like a charm. I read that Windata discs were pretty cheap and not reliable, but they worked at first (I bought a samll amount to test and worked ok) which is why bought them, now I'm stuck with them. Oh well, I will have to get some more of these Verbatim Discs. Again, thanks to all for the help.

                          Hi PrimeTime21
Verbatim discs are made under strict guidelines, other disc manufactures outsource their discs to the cheapest bidders, without strict guidelines, so you never know what your going to get.

                          Happy burning
