Can't Copy "Old Dogs"

It's an older movie, but looks like this problem:



has come back again. I've also exchanged the disc so have tried 2 different copies and neither of them work. Both failed in the same way about in the same spot iirc.

I'm using 8.2.1.0 - any suggestions?

Try v8.0.8.5, you can get it on the DVDFab website, here: Not sure if this will read it either, but easy to try and see. They may need some additional files from the disc if 8085 does not work.

Another thing you might try is to disable Path Player in settings.
To do this Open Fab Click the Green √ top right > Protection > Path Player click Disable Path Player click OK restart Fab and try again, just remember to set it back to Always Enabled.

Make sure to save it to a folder and view it before burning to disc.

Attached is the log from 8.0.8.5 - I had to let it run overnight to be able to "ignore all" errors. The copy finished but the image doesn't play through the end of the file.

The log looks uneventful from what I can tell.

I'll try without path player enabled and see what happens.

If you are still receiving read errors try this.
Open Fab Click the Green √ top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab, you may have to restart your computer also.

Download VSO Inspector found here http://www.vso-software.fr/products/.../inspector.php

Play the movie in a soft player like windows media player, as the movie itself is playing pause it but do not exit out of it.

Now start VSO Inspector and run a scan of the disc, if you have any errors then you have a bad disc.

Ok, without pathplayer the log seems rather uninteresting... but I attached anyway. The resulting rip was much worse - chapters out of order and incomplete.
