Yes, there is no charge if you have a current license, but it has a different registration system. It requires you to be registered at the Member Center on the DVDFab website, which is here:

If you are already registered at the Member Center, just enter the same email and password in the popup box.

In version 9, where did the DVD Clone option go? I haven't been able to see it.

No, the Full Disc button in v9 is the same as that named function in v8, it copies by title, it just copies all of them, i.e. the output disc layout is different than that on the original. Clone is the bit-for-bit read function that preserves the disc layout of the original, including the layer break. Clone is being added to v9, they are actually working on it today.

i have a dumb question regarding version 9xxx. does it install over the version 8xxx i have or does it install separate to it? id still want to use my version 8xxx since there are a lot of bugs still being worked out with the 9.

You will have access to both. 9 does not overwrite 8.
